Good morning everyone! Sorry for the delay in getting our morning post up today but I have been super busy this morning and we had a lot of winners to draw. As always, took some time to weed out the cheaters!
Topic of the Day: How many of you deal with nosy neighbors? For those of you who do, how do you handle it with them? We have one set of neighbors in our development that seem to know everyone’s business. They have no qualms about walking into other people’s yards to nose around! They also let their dogs run lose to crap in everyone’s yard too! If they hear a car door out front, they run to their windows to see who is here to visit us. If we are entertaining outdoors, they invite themselves over. Really, its beginning to get on my last nerve now! If we put out holiday stuff, they do it the very next day…seriously, the very next day!!! So let’s hear your thoughts on how to deal with nosy & copy cat neighbors!
We had a few giveaways close late last night so we do have winners to announce this morning. As always, we spend time every morning validating entries, trashing out the cheater entries and then randomly select a winner using random.org. We then double check that persons entry to make sure it’s legit and then finalize it.
Winner for the Weather Beaters Door Mat: Cheryl Free
Winners for the Heat Holders Socks: Carla T., Ann H., Jessica N., Michelle T., and Chuck P.
Congrats to all the winners! Emails will be sent shortly. Have a great day!
Sorry – I forgot to say congratulations to all the winners – 6 of them. Enjoy.
I don’t have nosy neighbors, not loose neighborhood animals, so I am lucky. I believe you already spoke to these people about their dogs. You might have to report them to the authorities as a next step. For the copycat part if they are actually copying exactly what you do put out something horrible and then take it off as soon as they copy it. Otherwise I don;t think there is anything you can do about that.
All of our neighbors are very nice. We will borrow tools, jumper cables, food and have even exchanged plants and flowers. We will have long conversations while having a beer. We do however also have two big and mean dounding dogs, so people will not come to our door 🙂
so happy i dont have nosy neighbors, but if i did i would probably take legal action or just move!
I try to avoid them, but if they are letting their dogs run around and are going in your yard uninvited I would tell to mind their own business in a polite way. Hopefully, you’ll find some resolution!!
I’ve certainly had noisy not nosy neighbors! I would also try to ignore them. Sadly I know little about my neighbors since I live in an apartment complex in a huge city (LA). I’d probably pray a lot!!
I try to get along with all my neighbors and we have okay ones now where before
we didnt. The old neighbors would fight , yell and scream up to 4 in the morning. Most of the time someone else called the cops , he went to jail a few times and it started up worse everytime he came home. Well eventually the house was sold and they had to move . They are probaly in more trouble where they live now as its closer to neighbors now
i ignor them !!
We have a couple neighbors that are annoying. The first one thinks it’s alright to zoom up and down the street with their loud car and the other one just bought the property next to us and likes to turn us in to the city if we have one wrong thing laying on the ground and then she comes over and steals from our garden. I have lived in the country for almost 25 years and we moved to town, so it’s really hard for me to get used to neighbors.
You would not believe that a year ago, I had a horrible neighbor. The house next door to us has had some awful neighbors, but last summer, and guy moved in at 10:30 at night and thought it was okay to blast his music and make noise. I was mad. But, over the course of months, he played really loud blasting music at night and tried to party every evening. Well I tried to ignore it, but the noise was not going away. I knew that I had to talk to this person, and I got my Dad, my son, my sister and I all went over there, and knocked on his door and told him that we can not have all this noise anymore. He seemed nice at first, but because I had my whole family with me, he listened and stopped all the noise, a few months after this, he was evicted! So what I would say is there is strength in numbers. If you can talk to them with a lot of family members with you, it really helps!!
