Amusement Park Fun

amusement park fun

We took our annual family vacation down to the Jersey Shore back during the first week in September. Every year the family gets together during Labor Day week and we hang out together for our family vacation.

This year the princess was old enough to finally get on some of the amusement park rides up on the boardwalk. In the past we didn’t let her get on any due to her age and fear of them. Finally, she is scared no more and had a blast riding them!

She had a great time getting on several of the rides all by herself and then some of the other rides she took turns getting on with Pappy (my hubby) or with her mother (my daughter).

I believe she spent over 3 hours riding several of the rides and did not get scared on any of them! Matter of fact, the Princess loves getting on super high Ferris Wheels and I won’t get on them at all. What a brave little girl she is! She thought she was the coolest kid in the world driving that boat! ROFL!!!

Personally I don’t like too many amusement park rides but I do enjoy going to amusement parks to walk around & watch the family get on them. Anyway, that is my “almost” Wordless Wednesday post for this week!

  1. That beaming smile is a beautiful sign that your granddaughter is growing up! Good for her, that she was able not only to overcome her fear but to have such obvious joy in being able to go on the rides. You must have loved watching her, and being with the rest of the family, too. Thanks for sharing the photo of your “princess.”

How fun! It’s great that you can take annual family vacations. They are so important. A good bonding time for all! We got to meet my son and his family this last summer for a vacation together, and it was a wonderful experience that I hope to continue. I bet you have tons of memories and photos. Hold them close. The kids and grandkids grow so quickly. Pretty soon she’ll be wanting a boat like that of her own. 🙂

  3. That does look like fun! I’ve always preferred the tamer rides myself.

  4. We went to Universal Studios Harry Potter last month. 25 degrees when we left Denver, 85 when we go to Orlando. I enjoy most of the rides but I’ve stopped doing roller coasters and rides that go upside down. Glad your granddaughter is brave enough for the rides this year.

  5. She looks so cute and looks like she is having fun. I remember doing this as a child ahhh the good old days. Thanks for sharing this one and have a great day.

So cute. These are the previous years. She looked like she was enjoying herself. I loved going to the amusement park. Growing up near Cincinnati I did get to go to Coney Island as s child before it was shut down to make room for Kings Island. Fir some reason I prefer the smaller parks to the large crowded ones.

I too think your granddaughter is very cool and brave to get on all those rides. I almost never t-ride them. I just like to watch the people and enjoy walking around.
