The other day when Shelly was posting all of her outdoor lights pictures, I was reminded of my trip to Oklahoma City last Christmas. I love to look at the lights and we always take at least one night during the holiday to go and see the fantastic light shows. So while we were visiting, we had to do that as well. My brother-in-law knew just where we needed to do and we spent 4 hours driving ll around Oklahoma City looking at the amazing lights that people display. I honestly had not seen anything like it before.
This is just one of the pictures that I got and it is not very clear as I was in the car and moving because there were so many cars behind us! I love the bright neon lights. It made for a stunning and bright display. There is one street where everyone had huge displays and the light flash and blink to music that is played on a particular station on the radio. Awesome!

This photo does show how much effort those people put into creating beautiful Christmas displays. It does take a lot of work and I love going around to see who has the most attractive Christmas set up. It always elevates and “brightens” my mood.
Beautiful and amazing! I love looking at Christmas lights. Can you imagine how much time, thought, and money that go into them. They are beautiful and it just warms your heart to ride around looking at them. A great family outing! I am from Oklahoma and still have most of my family near Oklahoma City. I wonder if there are still displays like this. I’d love to see them when I go visit before the holidays. Hope you get to see some wonderful displays this year, too.
Sherry- This was just last year so I am sure they are still there. If you want to know where we went, shoot me an email and I will ask my brother in law for the areas for you. 🙂
I LOVE to look at the lights of Christmas!! I am unable to decorate my house outside because of my health, but I really appreciate those that can do so. Those neon lights are spectacular even from a moving car. I hope we get to go look this year. Even that much gas has to be accounted for. Have a great day!
One year we took a helicopter trip to see the lights in Denver. Very cool. Probably expensive, but I was only 10 so what did I know.
that’s a beautiful picture. It’s so hard to truly capture the beauty and detail of a light display in the dark…at least in my opinion. We go to this event called Lights on the Lake…it’s always different every year – you drive your car around the lake to see all of the different displays – they are soooo pretty and creative.
This is a great picture I haven’t done this in years I used to go and look at people’s Christmas lights every year I gotta get back out there and do that again.
It’s very beautiful! My won would love it!
Would love to see this in person. I am often in awe of some of the light displays. Lot of work, time and effort go into producing them
