Good morning everyone! It’s Tuesday October 29th…wow, we are almost to November! The weather around here has been finicky to say the least. On Sunday it was bitterly cold and yesterday we had a high temp of 58 degrees. I am sooooo not ready for Winter and what’s ahead. Blah!
Today’s Topic: Today marks the first one year anniversary of post – SuperStorm Sandy. Here in Pennsylvania we did have damage from the storm but nothing like what New York & New Jersey had. We were without power for about 4 1/2 days, had damage to our roof, trees were down and a lot of flooding mess to clean up. Down at the condo in Wildwood we had some flooding, a window blown out and some other minor damage. Northern New Jersey and Southern/Coastal New York were the hardest hit. Today marks the one year anniversary and still people are trying to put their lives back together. We need to all still do what we can to help them and to keep them all in our prayers. Did any of you suffer damage? If so, how are you coming along one year later?
We had a few giveaways close late last night so we do have winners to announce this morning. As always, we spend time every morning validating entries, trashing out the cheater entries and then randomly select a winner using random.org. We then double check that persons entry to make sure it’s legit and then finalize it.
Winner of the ShaveMob Giveaway is: Natalie Y.
Winner of the Zkin Camera Bag Giveaway is: latanya thornhill
Congratulations to our two winners this morning. Emails will be sent shortly so that you can claim your prizes. Have a great Tuesday!
It’s hard to believe it has already been a year since Sandy. I’m sorry to hear that you guys were without power for 4 1/2 days that’s a long time I’m not sure I could handle that. I know many people have a long ways to go before they totally recover from the storm my prayers are with them.
Congratulations to the 2 winners.
I can’t believe that only a year has passed since SuperStorm Sandy. We lost power for over a week, but not much damage and just 2 blocks away they lost power for over two weeks and had much more damage.
