Women and Car Maintenance

Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday! I’ve been up all night long with a miserable sinus infection, migraine headache and severe face pain. Ugh, I guess I need to see the doctor again. Today I am feel crabby and miserable to say the least. Hopefully I can squeeze in a nap this afternoon.

Today’s Topic: How many of you are great at doing your own car maintenance? Can you change the car’s oil, put oil in the car, change a tire, change windshield wipers, etc? Do you consider yourself car savvy when it comes to these types of things? For me…No! I guess I live the pampered life and wouldn’t even know where to begin with that. Heck, I don’t even pump gas, I always go to full-service gas stations! hahaha!

We had a few giveaways close late last night so we do have winners to announce this morning. As always, we spend time every morning validating entries, trashing out the cheater entries and then randomly select a winner using random.org. We then double check that persons entry to make sure it’s legit and then finalize it.

Winner for the Chogaflow Fitness DVD: wendy b
Winner for Cover Your Hair Surprise Box: Alicia Jukniewicz

Congratulations to both of our lucky winners on this Tuesday morning!!! I will be sending both of you emails shortly so that you can claim those fabulous prizes. Have a great Tuesday everyone!

I hope that your sinus infection is all gone by now.
I know how to check tire pressure, change wipers, but I will go to the service station for anything else. Right now I couldn’t physically change a tire ( arthritis in my hands) and I hope I won’t be in that situation. I take my car in for regular maintenance.

  2. Congrats to the winners.
They still have full survice gas stations? I can change a tire, check pressure in tires, and change wipers. That’s about it.

  3. I don’t know much about cars. Luckily, my dad does and I run to him when I need help.

I think I do alright with my car. Know how to change a tire, just have not had to in a while. Can change windshield wiper blades and put gas in as well as most other fluids.. I don’t know how to change the oul, but since disposal is such a hassle I was always told that it is not quite worth doing yourself?
I think I am pretty good about taking my car in for regular maintanence, but I also need to be since it is 15 years old now.
