Thomas & Friends: All Around Sodor Interactive Train Set by Fisher-Price

Fisher-Price is a brand of toys that I am very familiar with. When my brother and I were little lids we played with Fisher-Price toys all of the time. Then when I had my own daughter it was my go-to brand for educational toys, entertaining toys and toys for her creative play. Now that I am a grandmother, it is still a brand that I know, love and trust.

As part of our holiday gift guide this year we have a Thomas & Friends ~ All Around Sodor Interactive Train Set by Fisher-Price. This train set is for ages 18 months and up. What is really fun about this play set is that it comes with a talking Thomas the Tank Engine who makes over 50 sounds & phrases!

It’s a busy day for Thomas as he travels to three exciting destinations: Brendam Docks, Tidmouth Sheds, and the Shake Shake Bridge! When Tomas visits Tidmouth Sheds your kids will hear Percy, James, Gordon & Sir Topham Hatt talk with Thomas! Then Thomas can head on over to the green cranky to load and unload cargo with the 2 included plastic gray cargo barrels.

This Thomas & Friends play set comes with colorful plastic train track pieces that easily snap together. The talking Thomas the Tank Engine has push buttons to make the engine talk, go and stop. The buttons are over-sized so that little hands can work them perfectly with a press of a button. Thomas pulls a second green train car which holds the plastic cargo barrels. The kids can have just the engine rolling around the track or they can hook up that second cargo car with Thomas to pull.

Thomas really comes to life with this play set and my 4 1/2 year old grand daughter and 6 year old god son have been having a blast playing with it. Just the other day they loaded up the cargo car with some crayons and had it racing around the track…too much fun!

When your kids are done playing with the set it stores nicely back inside it’s cardboard storage box that has a nifty carrying handle. If you are limited on space, it will store underneath a bed, in a closet or up on a shelf if you put it all back into the box. It doesn’t take up a lot of room when it’s unassembled.
