** 2013 Holiday Gift Guide Feature **
I love purchasing Discovery Kids toys and games for my grand daughter, god son, nieces and nephews. These toys are some of the best educational toys out in the retail marketplace and many of them are great for old-fashioned creative play.
Recently I was sent The Discovery Kids: Princess Canopy to review for all of you. Let me tell you…if you need an affordable holiday gift for a little girl this holiday season, this is definitely one item you should be considering.
Discovery Kids Princess Canopy
When we got this Princess Canopy delivered…I could not get it out of the package fast enough for my little grand daughter! She was squealing with delight. Later that day we headed on over to her house to get it hung up in her play room.
The Princess Canopy is made for kids ages 4 and up. It stands over 6 feet tall so you will want to hang it from the ceiling. It is made out of a durable, light-weight fabric that is semi-sheer. Assembly is easy and the mounting hardware is included in the package.
You can hang it up over a child’s bed, over a child’s table & chairs or in the corner of a room. We decided to hang hers up in her playroom as a little reading nook. She has a “princess” theme’d chair which we put inside her princess canopy and if you look close at the photos, you will see her inside the canopy reading some of her favorite books.

For now, she prefers it all closed up like her own little private tent. I am sure as time goes on…she will want it more like it is shown in the top photo. We love that it’s not solid heavy fabric and is semi-sheer. We can clearly see her inside of there to make sure she is alright when we do our “play” checks on her.

My daughter would love this! Keeping this in mind for a future Christmas gift…
I think that she looks so cute in her “ten”. At least she has a use for it until the time comes and she want to use it as a canopy. I sure wish they had one of these when I was little, but I bet my little niece would like one for her room. She dresses up as a princess every day!
I always wanted a full canopy on my bed but never got it. This is a good compromise and very affordable. It would make a great gift but I’d let the child chose the one he or she wants since I’m sure they have an opinion!
This looks like a dream gift! I would have so loved one myself when I was little….but maybe now my niece will get to have the pleasure!

This is so cute. I think any girl would love to have a canopy like this over there bed. I know my niece would love to have this for a Chirstmas gift.
