Last Saturday I was given the chance to host a family fun movie screening party featuring The Croods which came out on DVD on October 1st, 2013 for purchase. As a member of the Fox Home Entertainment Insiders Club, I was given The Croods on DVD, 10 The Croods goodie bags and a gift card to go out and purchase foods and refreshments for our party.

For the party I went out and purchased (with the Walmart Gift Card) hot dogs, rolls, iced sugar cookies, decorated cupcakes, chips, pretzels, juice boxes, soda, vanilla ice cream and various other treats that you need to have a good party!
Inside the provided goodie bags were The Croods activity sheets, popcorn cups, a bag of microwave popcorn, a The Croods plushie, a super soft The Croods throw blanket, a Croods puzzle, a tote bag and water paints for the kids. The kids were super excited to receive those goodie bags and let me tell you…they all snuggled up with their new “The Croods” fleece throw blankets to watch the movie!
My daughter Jenelle and her fiancé helped co-host the party with me and we put the Big E on the food prep and grilling task. He made some delicious hot dogs that all of the kids loved. We all sat down and ate our lunches until our bellies were full. Now that lunch was done the kids were anxious to see new movie The Croods.
Most of the kids hopped up onto the sectional and snuggled under their new The Croods blankets. Some of the younger ones even snuggled with their new The Croods plushie while watching the movie. We had a few really young kids who sat on their parent’s laps and let me tell you, those kids didn’t budge for almost the entire movie! They were glued to it!
The Croods has a very nice kid-friendly story line and the animation is absolutely fantastic! The adults who attended our party were very pleased with the movie because there was enough substance to it to entertain the adults too! In our opinion…this is truly a fantastic movie that everyone in the family will enjoy…from the youngest member to the oldest. We had kids who were 1 1/2 years old up to 12 years old and they all loved this movie!
The families and kids involved in this movie screening party all asked me to invite them again the next time I had a party. The food was great and the movie “The Croods” was a big hit with all of us. Would I host something like this again…you bet!

A good time for all it looks like. So glad they make kids movies adults can enjoy too. The animation features are amazing and entertaining.
You all seemed to have a wonderful time , both kids and adults. I haven’t yet seen the movie , but I still hope to do that and maybe I shall have my own blamket to snuggle up in with my husband
How fun! Looks like everyone was happy, full, and comfy…fully entertained! I haven’t seen the movie yet but I think it looks cute. I know my grandkids want to, and it comes out today. Love how you bought cups and set up the table along with the theme. It really adds to the whole experience.
