Shelly ~ Back in early August I won a giveaway on another blog and almost gave up hope that the prize pack would arrive…but alas, it did! I won a Percy Jackson book (for my nephew), a Percy Jackson logo Keychain (for my other nephew), a Percy Jackson shopping tote and a $50 Visa gift card! Hubby’s birthday was back on the 19th and he has had a rough year at work. So, I took him out for dinner and a movie with that gift card so that he could relax & have some fun. I love winning fab things like that!

I completely understand how you felt, taking your husband to dinner with a gift card you won. This summer, I won a gift card and used it to pay for a nice anniversary dinner. Since I don’t work, it felt great to be able to say “This one’s on me!”
This week, the mail carrier brought me a sample pack of Lipton tea K-cups. I haven’t tried them yet, but I doubt I’ll be buying them. I figure a tea bag costs about 3 cents, and a K-cup costs over 50 cents, so it would have to be some outrageously awesomely fabulous tea to make it worth it. Although I do appreciate the free samples, I think the Keurig will stay mainly for coffee.

Last week I received a few samples – Herbal Essences body wash and Garnier shampoo, conditioner & deep conditioner. I also received a Mickey Mouse lunch kit, a My Little Pony DVD and 2 coupons for free Purex UltraPacks that I won.

I received my winning from another blog of 2 Neurogena sunscreens and a $100 Walmart card. Then I got a lot of samples and coupons: Green Mountain, Lipton, Twinings, Airborne, Simple replenshing and Root TouchUp.
Got a fun surprise: A Del Monte banana costume that I’ve already worn to two different things. It’s light weight and gets lots of smiles when I wear it. Also got a $100 visa.
I received the Percy Jackson prize pack a couple of weeks ago. I got a Balsam Hill wreath with lights that I won. I don’t think I got much of anything else that I won…
Sadly, last week I had absolutely no good mail. We did however receive a phone call that my boyfriend had won two NFL tickets and a brand new recliner of our choosing!! We were able to pick the recliner up today and I am now sitting very comfortably in it while enjoying your blog.
