For the third year in a row AnimalPlanet will be hosting its popular virtual pet parade and I was lucky enough to receive an Animal Planet costume for my furry BFF, Colby. Colby didn’t seem as excited as I was to participate in the Halloween fun, but he sure made an adorable (yet fierce!) Raptor. The size medium costume was really easy to put on him and fit him pretty well. He is approximately 22 pounds and is what I would consider a medium size dog.
Not only does Colby get to show off his new costume around the neighborhood, but we have also sent his picture to the Animal Planet Virtual Pet Parade online and he’ll get to be in the running for the cutest Halloween look. If you are a dog lover like me or maybe just someone that loves Halloween, check out the parade of pets and give my little dino dog a vote to help him on his way to internet stardom!
Animal Planet offers a wide variety of pet costumes in different sizes that include everything from sweet butterflies, bats and turtles to colorful peacocks, lions and zebras.

I voted for Royal Raptor Colby listed as Louie. He does look adorable, I mean fierce, in that costume.
I voted for Colby, but they’ve got him listed as “Louie.” He looks none too happy in the photo, which makes it even more hilarious. He probably doesn’t mind that they got his name wrong, because no one will know it’s really him–LOL! The things our furry friends put up with just to please us…

Yes, it’s the Ravenous, Royal Raptor Colby in all his glory….
He looks very impressed and happy. Isn’t it funny what they put up with. They give us a look but hopefully know we are doing it out of love and pride. When our teacup poodle was still alive, our daughter put black spots on his white fur and said he was a dalmatian for Halloween. We had dalmatians on each side of us, and he wanted to be a “big dog,” too.
