Winners for September 26th + Teenagers and Plastic Surgery

Good morning! Happy Thursday Everyone! Wow…what a week this has been! You can tell that all of the companies & brands are thinking about their holiday sales as this has been ONE busy email box and mailbox week for the reviewers on this blog! Yup, those holiday are coming which means a LOT of work for all of us! With that said, we are ready!

Today’s Topic: Do you think that teenagers should be allowed to get cosmetic plastic surgery? I am not talking about plastic surgery to fix a medical problem but cosmetic surgery to enhance one’s looks for beauty? Teenagers ages 13 thru 18 years of age are now getting cosmetic surgery for “beauty” reasons and I just think that is wrong. I don’t have problems with people getting plastic surgery but I think they should wait until they are over 18. Your thoughts?

We had one giveaway end late last night and we do have a winner! I will be emailing that winner shortly so that they can claim their fabulous prize. The winner will have 48 hours to respond before a new winner will be selected.

Winner for the Amazing Grass Prize Pack is…Jennifer Reed

Congratulations Jennifer!!! Have a great Thursday everyone…we are another day closer to the weekend! Yay!

Comments

  1. Teenagers need to wait on plastic surgery for ‘beauty’ reasons. They tend to make rash decisions and base them on the latest trend. You hear about adults regretting their decision to do plastic surgery all of the time or not getting the response they initially wanted – like Jennifer Grey from ‘Dirty Dancing’

  2. Jo-Ann Brightman says

    Congratulations to the winner Jennifer.
I agree that teenagers should wait. It is too easy for a teenager to change his/her mind, and there are risks involved. The teen should be taught to be pleased with who he/she is and how he/she looks. We are not meant to all look the same.

  3. I agree with your concept, but there is much subjectivity with that. I have read an article where a woman wished she had not had her nose done, she missed her aquiline nose and missed feeling like herself. I think there are situations that might be worth it, if it seems there could be no reason to wait, that it would be highly unlikely they could change their mind, for instance, ears that stick out. However, things like bust enlargement. It has many risks and could turn out to have several surgeries, and as a teen, they could easily change their mind. Small cosmetic surgery, for instance, taking a tiny amount of fat off a waist, etc., is to me a no-no. Why reinforce the insecurity of feeling you need to be physically “perfect.” The money typically could be better spent on lessons of any sort, from voice, to horseback, to art, to dance, whatever! Many top plastic surgeons wouldn’t do it, anyway, unless it was really important. Some might request a psychological evaluation.
