Sonic Fuels It’s Breakfast Menu with More Options

The most important meal of the day just got a lot more interesting, as SONIC Drive-In announced two exciting changes to its breakfast menu. Starting today, guests can substitute fluffy egg whites in any breakfast menu offering with eggs, including a wide variety of Breakfast Burritos and the ever-popular Breakfast Toaster Sandwiches. And now, they can pair their favorite breakfast with a cup of SONIC’s Red Button Roast coffee, made with 100 percent Arabica beans and customized with one of five new flavors.

It is widely known that egg whites are a good source of protein, helping to maintain energy levels throughout the day. Because they contain no cholesterol, egg whites are a good choice for individuals trying to reduce their cholesterol intake. Substituting egg whites for regular eggs in any of the SONIC breakfast items also reduces the total calorie count by up to 60 calories.

Recently hubby and I were sent a complimentary gift card to go to SONIC Drive-In to try out some of their breakfast items. In the past we have had dinner items, but never tried anything from their breakfast menu until now.

For my breakfast I chose the Steak & Egg Breakfast Burrito made with Egg Whites, French Toast Sticks and some Tots with Cheese. Hubby decided to get the Steak & Egg Breakfast Burrito and we shared the French Toast Sticks that I had ordered. Along with breakfast, we both enjoyed a cup of coffee too!

After placing our order it arrived to our car about 10 minutes later. We decided to take our breakfast home with us since we only live 5 minutes from Sonic. Once home, our breakfast was still hot and we sat down to enjoy it.

Everything that we had from Sonic was delicious and tasted like I had cooked it myself. The eggs in the breakfast burrito were delicious and had a nice texture to them. A lot of “fast food” joints have rubbery eggs but Sonic had great ones!  The Tots with Cheese were super good and overall, we were both pleased with those too!

Our breakfast from SONIC Drive-In was delicious and now that we tried it once, we will definitely be going back for additional breakfast foods in the near future!

    I always order the breaded onion rings. I worked at a Sonic in Dallas years ago when I made those onion rings by hand every morning. Not sure they do that anymore, but I’m nostalgic when it comes to Sonic. and it’s about the last drive in left.

    My favorite is the vanilla cone, it is good portion control and I love their SuperSONIC® Breakfast Burrito with no meat.

    I like the Super Crunch Chicken strips with honey mustard dip. Also the Peanut Butter Milk Shakes are delicious.

    We go there a lot. Our favorites are the Cheeseburgers and shakes. Last time we got Chocolate Cheesecake and Strawberry cheesecake shakes.

    They did not even have a picture of it available on their site 🙁 but my favorite would be their Banana Split. Fresh banana topped with creamy, real vanilla ice cream, add the toppings and you have the best all around meal you could want. I always eat my dessert first!

    My favorite item is the chili-cheese tater tots. Sonic is one of the only fast food chains that offers tater tots as a side. I could eat tater tots until my stomach explodes.
