New accent Skincare and Bodycare Products

September 11, 2013 by Shelly

Accent Logo Single

I am one of those gals who has been using a wide variety of skin care products since my mid-teens. I believe that it’s very important to start early with a gentle but effective skin care line and to use if faithfully. We all have different skin types and different issues with our skin…so it’s important to find one that works for you.

Recently I was introduced to the new accént skin care line and within a few days…I fell in-love with both products. The accéntTM skin care product line is the perfect balance of high-tech function and cosmetic elegance in head-to-toe skincare.

The new accéntTM moisturizing lotion & accéntTM cleansing wash are the only line of moisturizers and cleansers to utilize Protease Technology, a proprietary blend of plant-based enzymes, amino acids and moisturizers that work in concert offering a skincare regimen like no other product.

These products are recommended by dermatologists to help soothe and protect all skin types. The products are paraben-free, non-greasy, non-irritating, non-drying, fragrance-free and they won’t clog pores! Fabulous!

accent skin care

The accéntTM Moisturizing Lotion combines nurturing epidermal ingredients to promote skin hydration. It will leave your skin feeling soft & refreshed.

The accéntTM Cleansing Wash acts as a first step in moisturizing dry, sensitive skin by gently cleansing the skin. It has a pleasant foaming action and skin is left feeling soft & refreshed.

I have very sensitive skin and most of the time it’s very dry. I am sure that a lot of my skin issues come from my Porphyria or from the medications that I take to treat it. I received full-size bottles of these two products and immediately got busy using them…matter of fact, I keep them in my shower at all times.

These products have no fragrance so if you are sensitive to fragrances you will love them. I found the cleansing wash to be very gentle and it does have a little bit of a “lather”. My skin did feel very soft and clean after using it. The moisturizing lotion has a really nice consistency to it and even though it’s a lotion, it’s not runny or watery at all. It absorbs really quickly into your skin and leaves behind no stickiness, greasiness or oiliness. Wow, that was a mouth full! Seriously…these products rock!

  29. Sarah says

I have major problems with sensitive skin. I have very oily spots, and then very dry spots. I get severe acne at times and when I try to use cleansers they dry out my skin badly enough that it starts peeling. I have yet to find a cleanser that won’t do this, so I end up having to moisturize pretty heavily but that causes my acne to get worse. It would be awesome to find a product that can be used daily for oily and sensitive skin and moisturizes at the same time!

I always look for sensitive skin versions that are nongreasy. Not all brands offer sensitive skin items
my daughter she broke out from the perfume in the diapers, specifically the minute amount of mercury perservative often found in the perfume and never listed on the labels. It took years of trial and error and finally she was patchtested which pinpointed the mercury preservative. Between info from the allergist and asking brands for complete product lists, I discovered a load of chemicals that are added to products sometimes to increase shelflife, but more often simply because it creates a consistency that pleased the most people in a focus group.
I shifted to purchasing sensitive skin or perfumefree versions whenever possible for my family. Why opt for more chemicals?

  33. Calien Laure says

I have a huge problem with dry skin. I put lotion on, and 30 minutes later you can’t tell I did anything! My skins cracks and peels, especially during the winter. And I type all day long, which wrecks havoc on my hands! I hate lotions that feel oily, greasy or won’t absorb. I prefer something that I can also use on my whole body. Not that I’m picky or anything!
