Musselman’s Big Cup Apple Sauce is Here!

September 27, 2013 by Shelly

musselman's apple sauce big cup

Apple sauce is one of those foods that you will always find in my home. We use apple sauce for snacks, as a after lunch treat and at times I use it as an ingredient when I am baking cakes, cupcakes and/or brownies. To say we go through a lot of apple sauce…well, that would be an understatement!

One of our favorite brands of apple sauce happens to be Musselman’s because we love the homemade taste. Musselman’s apple sauce reminds me of the homemade apple sauce that my grandmother used to make. She would spend hours upon hours in the kitchen every Fall season cooking down apples and canning homemade apple sauce.

As a busy mom and wife…I just don’t have the time to make my own and frankly, why should I when I can get Musselman’s apple sauce in convenient to use multi-serving jars and on-the-go cups! Matter of fact, Musselman’s just recently released their new “Big Cups” which contain 6 oz. of delicious apple sauce, twice the size of the standard apple sauce snack cups!

Did you know?

– Snacking now accounts for 53% of all eating occasions in the U.S.

– More than 50% of adults are snacking more than once a day.

– Musselman’s Apple Sauce is naturally fat free, cholesterol free, gluten free and low in sodium.

Musselman’s Big Cup Apple Sauce

For our review Musselman’s sent us 3 multi-packs of their new “Big Cups” and a Musselman’s Big Cup Mug! We received a pack of the Cinnamon Apple Sauce, Original Apple Sauce and a pack of the Unsweetened Natural Apple Sauce.

We have had all three of these flavors before and LOVE them…matter of fact, I buy them all of the time for my family. We love these new 6 oz. Big Cups because I no longer have to pack 2 of the smaller cups in my husband’s lunch box! In the past I always packed 2 because they were not big enough for his big snacking appetite. Now I just toss one into his lunch bag and he is one very happy man!

My 4 1/2 year old grand daughter is loving these new 6 oz. Big Cups too! Most of the time she will finish off an entire cup during her snack time and when she doesn’t, I just put a little wrap over the top, refrigerate it and she comes back later to finish it off (or) Pappy sneaks in there and finishes it off for her.

Musselman’s Big Cup Apple Sauce

Just last weekend I made some homemade brownies and I needed exactly 6 oz. of apple sauce for the recipe. I love using apple sauce when I bake various treats as my treats have less calories, less fat and they are always super moist thanks to the apple sauce used as an ingredient. For my brownies I used the Unsweetened Natural Apple Sauce and wow…those brownies tasted incredible!

You can now find Musselman’s Big Cup Apple Sauce in various grocery stores nationwide. The perfect healthy snack in the perfect portion sizes! We love it!
