Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast Recipe

As a busy professional, wife, and mother, I know how hard it can be to get a good meal on the table. Our friends at Venetian Decor were kind enough to share this tasty recipe for us hard working women. You can make this mouth-watering dish with minimal preparation and still provide your families with a delicious and hardy pot roast that provides a delightful aroma when you walk in the door after a long day’s work. Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast Recipe
POT ROAST (slow cooker) Recipe:

· 4 pounds chuck roast
· 1 packet dry onion soup mix
· 1 cup water
· 3 carrots, chopped
· 1 onion, chopped
· 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
· 1 stalk celery, chopped
· salt and pepper to taste

1. Season the roast with salt and pepper to taste.
2. Brown on all sides in a large skillet over high heat, approximately 4 minutes per side.
3. Place the roast in a slow cooker and add the soup mix, water, carrots, onion, potatoes and celery.
4. Cover and cook on the low setting for 8-10 hours.
