Car Repairs Cost Way too Much

The past few weeks has been a crazy time at my house for car issues. First my car window decided to stop working on the way home from school 2 weeks ago. It rolled up them immediately started making crunching sounds and rolled itself back down and stayed there. I guess I was glad I was on my way home, but the motor and inner workings of the window were dead… $150.

The same day I got that fixed my hubby’s truck decided that we no longer needed to have an air conditioing. Well, in 90+ degrees temperatures every day in California, that wasn’t happening! $650 gone! Got the car back yesterday morning and the air conditioner is broken in that vehicle too. What the heck is going on with all of these vehicle car repairs? Seriously!!!  We need a break!

Then last night, I get a call from my son his car just randomly stopped in the middle of the road. He pushed it down a side street and we called the tow truck. The towing company charged $150 to tow his car to the a local garage that was only 3 blocks away. That’s right, 3 blocks away and the charge was $150. Outrageous!

I hate car issues, don’t you? It’s frustrating and very expensive to get repairs, especially repairs that are no longer covered under any type of warranty. Then if there is a warranty…you have to deal with any deductibles that may be involved. Car repairs and expenses are just too expensive. No wonder people are turning to ride sharing and other options instead of buying a new or used car!
