Beautiful Sunset on Sunset Beach in Cape May

September 10, 2013 by Shelly

Beautiful Sunset on Sunset Beach in Cape MayIt’s that time again…yes, time for another “almost” Wordless Wednesday post! Last week I was on vacation down to the Jersey Shore and we took a little drive over to Sunset Beach in Cape May to watch the sunset.

If you are ever in the Stone Harbor, Wildwood, Diamond Beach or Cape May area in New Jersey, driving over to Sunset Beach is a must! The sunsets there are absolutely gorgeous and if you are lucky…you might see a dolphin or two while the sun is setting.

After you watch the sunset you can grab a bite to eat at the Sunset Beach Grill or shop one of the 3 gift shops that are located on the beach. Last year they put in a brand new mini golf and we went and enjoyed that too! Beautiful 18 hole mini golf course right on the beach and it was totally affordable. A great family activity for sure!

Over the next few weeks I will share a few more photos from our vacation down to the Jersey Shore. We might head on down to the condo again next month for hubby’s upcoming birthday too!

Wow! That is so beautiful! The sunset stole my breath, and my heart jumped at the thought of seeing dolphins. Ihaven’t been to the northeast, and – I hate to admit – I hadn’t thought of New Jersey quite like this. I really want to go up there to see lighthouses, especially around the Maine area, but this is something else to put on the list. Really nice of you to mention a good place to eat and fun activity near by. Can’t wait to see more!

I had no idea you were close to the Jersey Shore! I live in Philly, so of course…the only place we vacation is Wildwood. And we adore Cape May. It’s so romantic and nostalgic and…special. Not to co-opt your amazing photo, but I just had to share this with you (it’s one of the most amazing things to see at Sunset Beach — by the way, we have about 700 stones and shells from that beach. They’re incorporated into every decoration, it seems like!):

That is beautiful. I’ve never been to the Jersey Shore, but I know many people that have enjoyed it.

Lovely! If you subsstituted cornfields (or soybeans) for sand it would look kinda like that here 🙂

It has been so long since I have been at the beach that it can be easy to forget just how beautiful it is. I can only imagine how thrilling it is to see a dolphin or a whale on top of a sunset as gorgeous as that! I have heard so many wonderful things about the Jersey shore.

Lovely sunset. Makes me wish I lived nearer an ocean – have to go 1000 miles west or 2000 miles east. But we do have nice sunsets over the mountains.

This really is a beautiful sunset. Did you see any dolohins when you were there? I have not gone to the Jersey Shore, but it sounds like there are a lot of good fun things to do that aren’t too expensive.

Thanks Jo-Ann! We did! We usually see them every time we go. They like to swim & play in the Inlet and that is usually where we see them. Often times we go out on the charter Dolphin & Whale Watching Dinner Cruise too and see them as well.
