Good morning everyone! TGIF!!! Oh my gosh…my bootay is really dragging this week and wow…I got a lot of work done this week but definitely need my weekend break to recover. Lots going on this weekend so I am sure that by Monday I will feel even more exhausted instead of rested.
Our daily topic today is about drunk driving & the punishments that come along with it. You know…I get really tired of politicians stating that it’s time to get TOUGH on crime but yet…almost all of them don’t do that at all. Yes…I am a hard-nose and I believe in an eye-for-an-eye type of thing.
Just recently I met a 26 year old young woman who just got busted for her 3rd DUI in one year. Yes, her third! They threw her in jail for 7 days, gave her fines and took her driver’s license away. Wow…sorry Charlie, but I certainly don’t think that punishment is SEVERE enough! Obviously she didn’t learn her lesson the first 2 times with a slap on the wrist like that! What makes it even worse is that 2 out of 3 of these times she had 2 small children in the damn car with her! WTH???
Personally, I feel her punishment should be a LOT heavier than that! How many chances do these drunk drivers need before they kill someone? I mean really!!! I think she should of gotten a year in jail and while she is serving that year in jail…court mandated rehab & counseling! I am really sickened to hear that she got her third slap on the wrist. Your thoughts?

I think that anyone with a 3rd DUI should have mandated rehab and counseling. The person obviously has a problem that is not being addressed and he/she can’t handle it on his/her own.
