Good morning everyone! Happy Tuesday to you all! I have been up since 5am this morning and already my butt is dragging! I started work early today, had breakfast with my grand daughter, dropped her off at preschool and I am ready to crawl back into bed. Sigh…it’s going to be a long day!
How many of you watched the VMAs on MTV on Sunday night? Hubby and I are huge music fans but honestly…we hate MTV and only watch it once a year when the VMAs are on. Anyway…Miley Cyrus performed on the VMAs and frankly I thought her performance was disgusting, vulgar and completely offensive to all women in the world. She was practically have sex with herself and her foam finger. Disgusting! I know MTV is famous for this type of offensive crap (hence why we don’t watch that channel unless it’s for the VMAs) but this was totally crossing the line…let me say it one more time…HER PERFORMANCE WAS DISGUSTING & OFFENSIVE!!! Did anyone else see it? If so, what did you think?
We had a few giveaways close late last night so we do have winners to announce this morning. As always, we spend time every morning validating entries, trashing out the cheater entries and then randomly select a winner using random.org. We then double check that persons entry to make sure it’s legit and then finalize it.
Winners for Canyon Bakehouse Bread Coupons are: Joseph G., Susan S., Eliza E., Fawn H. and Xty C.
Winner for the MobiGo is… Heather
Congratulations to all 6 winners. Emails will be sent to the winners shortly. Have a great Tuesday!
Congratulations to the 6 winners.
I didn’t watch MTV and am very glad now that I am hearing all these reports of Miley Cyrus’s disgusting behavior. I agree with you that as a role model she has a duty to think about what she portrays and and how she acts.
She was disgusting and I think a real shocker for parents whose kids were watching to see their fav Hannah Montana person. But she is not the only one to blame either. Thankfully you could not hear the lyrics to the songs – if you want to call them that – but Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines song is pretty trashy as well. I think they both disgraced themselves as did MTV for their promotion of trash. They know kids watch that and they obviously chose to have that on live tv. And they want to know what’s wrong w. our kids today. Look at the reaction from Will Smith and his kids and you will see how kids really felt about seeing s e x acts on stage. Nice
I sure in hell won’t be buying anything that has to do with Miley Cyrus in the future at all. From what I am seeing and hearing…millions of people are outraged about it.
I have to agree with you Shelly about Miley Cyrus. I didn’t see the program but hey, everywhere you go online you can see the video of it. Everyone is talking about it in their blogs even. She was totally disgusting and only a handful of people are saying leave her be. She is “finding herself.” Well that may be but she can find herself elsewhere than on tv. She is no role model for the kids of today and is far worse than Madonna or Lady Gaga ever were.
Its sad to think that in years to come she may regret acting like this and to know her mother was there cheering her on doesn’t say much for her either. Its really too bad she is the way she is now.
Hopefully in time she will “grow up” and realize that she is more than someone to have sex with or gyrate on stage with men and herself. She needs help in the worst way in my opinion.
Because of people like Miley Cyrus…our young girls don’t respect their bodies and their sexuality. I was disgusted with her performance to say the least! I fired off a nasty complaint letter (email) to MTV about it as that performance definitely crossed the line. Way too many kids, teens and young adults watch that show and shouldn’t of been subjected to her nasty behavior.
