Your Travel Packing Habits

5 Packing Cubes by TravelWise

Good morning everyone! How was your weekend? Did you go out and do anything fun or exciting? Our weekend was super busy! I had to go out and work at my other job for awhile on Saturday and then we stopped in to see my great auntie at the nursing home. On Sunday we hosted a family bbq party at our house and had a lot of fun spending time with the family.

Today’s topic is…When it comes to packing for a trip…Do you wait until the last minute to start your packing or do you start packing a week or two before you leave? Are you the type of person who always forgets to pack a few things or are you an organized diva when it comes to packing?

Personally, I start packing 3-4 weeks in advance. I like to get out my clothing and refresh them if needed (wash and dry). I like to try on things to make sure they still fit. I tend to lay everything out on a bed in our guest room as I get things ready. This way I can see everything before I pack it.

When we travel I always take along spare medication in a little first-aid bag. Things like Tylenol, aspirin, Pepto Bismal, Antacids, Aloe Gel, Thermometer, Hand Sanitizer, etc. I like to be prepared. It’s terrible to get a headache or to get sick while traveling and then have to run around finding medicine to treat it. If possible, I like to be prepared!
