I recently received an iPad mini for my birthday and use it daily for everything from playing a round of Scrabble, checking email and watching my favorite shows before bedtime to using it to display a recipe I’m trying to tackle in the kitchen. I’m a proud and careful owner of my iPad mini and it’s definitely an investment that I want to protect. I have a constant fear of dropping, scratching or damaging it. First, I don’t want to be without it (yes, I’m addicted to my Apple products) and secondly, I don’t want the expense of having to repair it. If you want to make sure your iPad mini is protected to the max, a high quality iPad mini case is a must-have accessory. I recently received an iPad mini case called The Snugg, that can be accessed here, for review and love the stylish look and especially love that my device is protected. Whew!
To give you some background on The Snugg, the company is based in the UK and offers full line of custom made cases in a wide variety of colors for tablets and smartphones. All of the screens are framed, not obscured, all ports, speakers and access points have been taken into consideration. The Snugg products are made from quality materials to provide protection from accidents, while still remaining stylish.
The Snugg product that I reviewed was The Snugg iPad Mini Leather Case Cover and Flip Stand in pink. The case is delicate PU leather that fit my iPad mini quite “snuggly” actually.
In case you are wondering, PU leather is Bicast leather, which is a material made with a split leather backing covered with a layer of polyurethane that is applied to the surface and then embossed. It is easier to clean and maintain, which is definitely a plus in my book. The interior of the case is nubuck, which is soft to the touch and just as soft on your iPad mini. This nubuck material along with the Velcro securing tab inside prevent any movement, bumps or knocks affecting the fit of your case. The Snugg offers a promise of fit, function and quality materials to this and all of their products.
Like any piece of clothing or accessory, we all know that the right fit is key. This product was certainly the right fit for my device. In addition to the case fitting my device perfectly (like a snugg little glove), the tailored fit allowed me to access all of the iPad mini’s features without removing the protective case. Cameras, buttons and ports were still a snap to use while cased. Another added convenience is the hand strap for holding your device as well as a stylus loop, to carry your stylus if you have one. I didn’t, but immediately went out and bought one to get the full use out of my new product and of course, it is pink as well!
I love the design of the The Snugg’s folio cover. It extends battery life by integrating with the iPad mini’s sleep/wake function, so opening and closing the cover wakes and sleeps your iPad mini. This helps to extend the battery life, which means extra rounds of Scrabble and more time in the kitchen with my favorite recipes.
There are three different ways you can use the case–you can prop the case up in a viewing mode, which I think would be ideal for plane trips or having a FaceTime chat, prop it up at a lower viewing angle or you can hold it open and use it like a book. It’s easy to manage and comfortable to hold.
All in all, this is a well-made, sturdy yet stylish product that will protect my iPad mini from any little mishaps that may occur. I’m taking a trip in a few weeks and am really looking forward to having my iPad mini on the plane, hotel and maybe even at the hotel pool if I’m feeling so bold!

I got an iPad mini recently and got the i-blason cover for mine. Seems to have all the features of the one you got and only $14.98. I like it very much.
This “snuggly” fitting case for the iPad mini seem to cover all the bases and is stylish as well. If I acquire the iPad mini this is the case I would want to have with it.
