Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Educational Insights based out of Southern California. Educational Insights is the manufacturer of playful products with serious educational value, including subject-specific classroom products, teacher resources, educational toys, and games. Their products are designed by seasoned educators and parents who know that children love to learn when you make that learning experience fun!
For our review we received the Raccoon Rumpus Game which is a game of costumes, critters, matching and memory. The entire card game comes nicely packaged in a storage box that is fully decorated & oh…so cute!
This matching card game is for children ages 3 and up with 2 to 4 players playing the game. The game includes 4 raccoon cards, 20 costume cards, 1 jumbo color die and 1 jumbo costume die + the storage box as I mentioned above.
Game Description: The raccoons have raided your closet & now they’re having a party! Help these masked bandits get dressed…the critter that collects the most costumes will win!
How to Play: Take turns rolling the jumbo color die & jumbo color costume die and searching the costume cards for a match. Place the matching costume card on your raccoon and if you collect 5 costume cards first…you will win!
Our Thoughts: Princess Gia is now a little over 4 years old and loves matching games! When I say she loves them…I really mean it because she owns at least 6 different matching games at this time. We love these types of games because they are easy enough for a 4 year old to play, they are fun & educational at the same time. They are also great smaller-sized games to take with you when you travel.
A few days ago we sat down with Princess Gia and taught her how to play the game. It only took her 5 to 10 minutes to grasp the game and we were on our way! We all took turns and let me tell you…she would laugh & laugh as the game went along. I could tell she was having a great time!
Since receiving the game a few days ago…we have played it several times with the Princess. It has quickly became one of her favorite games! Even though this game is made for younger children, even the older children with younger siblings will enjoy playing this game too!
