Today I would like to introduce you to the lighting company called Dorcy  who sells hundreds and hundreds of indoor and outdoor lighting products. When you shop at Dorcy Direct you will find motion sensing lighting, flashlights, flood lights, path lights, battery operated ceiling lights, camping lanterns, headlights, spotlights and so much more!

I have had the pleasure of reviewing several fabulous products from Dorcy Direct over the past year or so and I have never been disappointed with any of them. Today, we are bringing you a fabulous item that can be used by both women & men.

For the review my husband received the Metal Gear XL-M Extreme 618 Lumen LED Flashlight from Dorcy. For a living my husband is a property service manager for a large 650+ unit apartment & townhome complex. He is a licensed HVAC tech, plumber, electrician and has a whole host of other certifications & job duties.

He is hard on flashlights and is very particular on the kind of flashlights that he and his employees use at the job.

Metal Gear XL-M Extreme LED Flashlight by Dorcy

Product Info (from company’s site) – The new Dorcy Metal Gear XLM (Extreme Lumens) flashlight produces 618 lumens of light from a single LED chip. Utilizing the Cree XM-L LED module which allows Dorcy to drive the chip with 6 alkaline batteries to produce a intense beam of light. With beam distances over 300 meters (1100 feet) the 41-0435 utilizes Dorcy’s TrueSpot® Optimized Reflector System. The aluminum Construction, Side Mounted Push button switch and convenient lanyard make this light a must. Powered by 6 AA batteries the 41-0435 with run over 5 hours and give you plenty of light. The light offers two light settings that will allow the light to run in a dimmer light setting which will run over 25 hours.

Our Thoughts – Hubby got called out a few nights ago for a boiler down and this particular boiler is in one of the buildings that houses 16 apartments. It’s a massive sized boiler that had been giving them issues for the past few months. The boiler is housed in the basement of the apartment building and light down there is terrible to say the least. It was 2am and hubby took along his new Metal Gear flashlight with him.

The following day I asked him how the flashlight worked out for him and he raved & raved and RAVED some more about it! He used an “S” hook and hung it up to provide lighting while they worked on that nasty boiler. He told me that this is the brightest flashlight he has ever had! He said you would of sworn that it was daylight down there in that boiler room! He said this flashlight will light up a regular sized room & then some!

Next…he loves how heavy-duty this flashlight is! He said he dropped it twice onto the basement floor and it did absolutely NO HARM to the flashlight at all. He loves the lanyard because he can hold it via the lanyard or hang it up while he is working. In addition, he likes that it has a high & low light setting too. Like I said, he loves it and I don’t know much about flashlights! LOL

His final Thought – He said every home should have two of these high-powered LED flashlights! One to keep in the home and one to keep in the car. He said if you have an occupation like him…get four or five of them! Seriously, he loves it and gives it 10 stars out of 10 stars on our rating scale!

    I would like the LED motion sensor flood lite. We live in an area with lots of coyotes that prey on small dogs and cats. I’d love to have it to keep my pets safe during night time potty trips.

    My husband loves flashlights. I swear he could have a collection. I think he would like a spotlight though because he used to use one when he would shine for deer

    We just had a power outage last week and I swear my kids lit 5000 candles (why would I need my laundry room lit up when I have not electricity!) so I’d could go for the Lumens 4D LED Twin Globe Lantern for an easier way!

    During power outages, these are great for getting from here to there in a dark house while carrying kids, pets or whatever

    Product 41-3019 3 Pack of 41-1017 LED Lantern with Batteries is not only something I would like to own but need as well. Southern California Edison’s summer power savings days and power outages make my life challenging since I am in a wheelchair. The lanterns would help me with this problem. Love the fact that they have a 5 star rating.
