My fiancé and I just purchased our first home back in December of 2012 and since moving into it this past January, I have been busy decorating it. One of the areas I am working on right now is our kitchen and the dining room which have horrible mis-matched window treatments which makes our home look totally…well, not nice!
I was really excited when my mom told me about this review and I went over to Swags Galore to take a look around. After spending about an hour (yes, I had a hard time deciding on what I wanted), I selected the Buffalo Check Decorative Window Treatment in navy blue for our back door window.
For review I got the 58″ by 14″ valance and the 58″ by 24″ tier pair. These are the perfect size for kitchen windows or backdoor windows and look really nice. One of the reasons I selected this particular one is because I wanted window coverage but I didn’t want the door window completely covered so that I couldn’t see who was knocking. Plus, I wanted a little bit of natural sunlight to shine through.
I apologize for the dark photos in my review but the Big E has all of the kitchen lights down right now (except my stove light) as our new lights will be arriving in about a week. Hence, the dark photos from not having proper lighting in our kitchen right now.
My order arrived super fast (next day) and I was super surprised about that! Wow, how is that for customer service? Yeah! Once they were here I took them out of the package and immediately hung them up. They slide right onto your standard curtain rods with no problems at all. The valance and tiers were in perfect condition with no stains, holes, tears or any defects.
Now lets talk about affordable since we already know their quality is awesome! The valance is $11.99 and the tier pair is $11.99…so for under $24.00 you could get a nice set of curtains for your kitchen, bathroom or door! Awesome! Matter of fact, once our family room and guest bedrooms are done (currently being remodeled & painted), I know where to go to purchase affordable window treatments for our home! Yeah!
