Duck Tape® Supplies and Craft Project Ideas

August 8, 2013 by Classystaff

It’s that time of year again…yes, It’s back to school time for millions of children across America! While many children are looking forward to going back to school…many parents are dreading the task of shopping for back to school clothing, shoes and supplies.

This year when you go to Walmart to do your back-to-school shopping it is important to pick up a few rolls of Duck Tape®! Yes, Duck Tape®! Why you might ask? Well, I am going to tell you!

When you buy Duck Tape at Walmart and stock up on it now…you will be prepared for all of those school projects that come your way throughout the year! The Duck Tape® comes in various sizes and colors and there really is a lot you can do with it! Here are some of my favorite suggestions on how to use it:

Craft Project - Duck Tape Pencil Holder for Your Desk

* Photo Credit and Project Idea is courtesy of Danielle’s Place.

* To frame off the edges of poster board
* Use it to decorate a plain 3-ring binder for a customized look
* Wrap colorful Duck Tape® around empty soup cans to make pencil & pen holders
* Cut out shapes from the Duck Tape® and use those shapes to decorate notebooks & file folders
* Cut out shapes from the Duck Tape® or use it in a striped pattern to decorate those plain lunch boxes
* Cut a strip measuring 3″ long and use it as a self-stick name badge & backpack identifyer during those first few days of school. Just use a marker to place your child’s name onto the strip.

There is a lot you can do with Duck Tape® including making it a part of your back-to-school routine, in the arts & crafts room or use it for decorating the outside of your favorite scrapbook or journal!

Duck Tape® is a creative and inexpensive tool for both teachers, students, and they are only limited to their imagination! Looking for some creativity? Follow @DuckBrand on Twitter for tons of inspiration and ideas!

How many of you love Duck Tape® and if so…what kind of projects do you envision creating with it? I would love to hear all about it! Leave us some blog comments below! Thanks!
