Febreze Carpet Deodorizing Powder – Endorsed by Bissell

August 10, 2013 by Shelly

febreze carpet deodorizer

“I received this Febreze Deodorizing Powder free from BISSELL Homecare, Inc. but am under no obligation to write a review. What I’m writing here are my own opinions based on my own use of the product.”

Over the past 4 years I have mentioned many times here on our blog how much I enjoy cleaning my home…seriously everyone, I am what you call a neat & clean freak! While others complain about having to clean their home…I actually brag about it and enjoy it, much to my husband’s dismay.

Recently I was given a bottle of the new Febreze Carpet Deodorizing Powder to review for all of you. Incase you didn’t know, this carpet deodorizing powder is endorsed by the great folks over at Bissell.

The fragrance that I received is the new Hawaiian Aloha scent and let me tell you, one good whiff of this and it will indeed remind you of some place warm and tropical. What is really cool is that a little bit of this carpet deodorizer goes a very long way, so the 32 oz. size canister will last you for awhile.

Product Information:

* Cleans up to 3X better than vacuuming alone.
* Eliminates tough odors, like smoke, garlic, mold & mildew.
* Leaves behind fresher, softer carpet.
* The only deodorizing powder endorsed by BISSELL, the floor-care experts.
* Use on carpets, upholstery, drapes and in automobile interiors.

* Cleaning results based upon measurement of color reflectance and brightness of carpet fibers.

Febreze Carpet Deodorizing Powder

To Use: Sprinkle the product over the area to be treated & cleaned. Wait a few minutes and vacuum thoroughly.

My Thoughts: We had brand new carpets put into our home back in late November and when we moved into our home in January I purchased 3 new large area rugs. Keeping my carpets & rugs looking great and smelling good are an important priority for me.

I sprinkled the product on the carpets in our bedrooms and then on the area rug in our living room. I waited 15 minutes and then got out my BISSELL vacuum cleaner and got busy vacuuming up the deodorizing powder. I only had to make one pass through all of the rooms, so it does indeed vacuum up quickly & easily.

Once done…hubby and I sat on the carpet and played a game of Gin Rummy. We did this because we wanted to be down on the floor to see if we had any odors whereas before I treated them they smelled a little musty.

I can tell you all honestly that we were very impressed with the pleasant tropic scent of this Hawaiian Aloha and wow…did our carpet and rooms smell fantastic! The nice fresh cleaning carpets stayed this way for over a week and then I treated the high traffic areas again.

Overall, we are really impressed with this product and next week when hubby takes the car in to be cleaned…he is taking it along with him to deodorize and freshen up our car’s interior so that it smells good for when we leave for vacation later this month. Fabulous!

This sounds like a great product and it impresses me that it cleans up to 3 times better than vacuuming alone.
