Cleaning Up and Working on Junk Removal

Last year my sister Krissy moved from the US up to a beautiful location in Canada. This move was supposed to be a 1 year move for her job but has now ended up as long-term thing.

About 40 days ago Krissy, Dan and their two kids purchased a home in Edmonton that needs a lot of work! The elderly couple that lived their moved into a nursing home and while the house has a lot of potential, it needs cleaned up and a lot of work.

Over the weekend she was looking for a residential or commercial junk removal company to come out and haul off all of the junk that they found around the property which includes some broken down cars, an old abandoned shed, a rusted-out tractor and several other things.

She called me late last night and was really excited that she found a company in junk removal Edmonton that is going to come out and do the job at a very affordable price. Once the job is done, they are going to have some landscapers & contractors come in and fix up the property.

Once all of this is done she is going to share some before and after pictures with me which I will share with all of you. Come November, we are hoping to travel up to Edmonton to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with her & the family. I am looking forward to it!

Have any of you ever purchased a fixer-upper type of home? If so, how did that go? Do you feel it was worth the hard work and investment?
