Welmedix SunBurnt After Sun Therapeutic Gel

The summer sun brings with it a long and exciting list of things that we all look forward to. Whether it’s playing at the beach, lounging by the pool, taking walks in the park, working in the garden or watching a ballgame, we all have our favorite things we like to do on a sunny, beautiful summer day. We all know though, that too much time in the sun can definitely have its consequences: Painful sunburn. Dry, overheated skin. Unsightly peeling.

Welmedix SunBurnt After Sun Therapeutic Gel

Today I’d like to introduce you to SunBurnt® After Sun Gel, which I received for review earlier this month. SunBurnt After Sun Gel is a therapeutic after sun gel that goes beyond traditional aloe to provide superior after sun recovery. SunBurnt contains patented active naturals plus non-sticky aloe to:

• Instantly cool, soothe, & hydrate overheated skin
• Help reduce skin redness and peeling
• Leave your skin feeling soft, smooth, and refreshed

Sun Burnt is also Lidocaine-free and contains natural active ingredients which not only soothe the pain but also draw heat out of the sunburn and hydrate the skin. This homeopathic product contains three active ingredients— Calendula, Cantharis, and Echinacea — which are all natural plant and animal extracts derived under the principles of Homeopathy and manufactured in the USA in accordance with the regulations of the US Food & Drug Administration.

• Calendula, also known as garden marigold, is cultivated throughout the world for its medicinal uses. Calendula helps heal burns, prevent infection, and reduce skin redness.
• Cantharis is used to treat sunburns, blisters, or heat rashes. It helps relieve painful burning, itching, and blister formation. Cantharis helps soothe and cool painful sunburn and helps reduce skin peeling.
• Echinacea is a perennial herb native to the North American prairie and cultivated widely in ornamental and medicinal gardens. Echinacea has antiseptic, antimicrobial, hydrating, antioxidant, and anti-itch properties. It helps relieve sunburn symptoms and helps reduce UV sun damage to the skin.

Working together these three active naturals plus aloe help treat the damage caused by too much sun to your skin. This gel is a definite must to have around in the summer and all year round to ensure you ready to give your skin some TLC from any sun-soaked mishaps. Many of us don’t use sunscreen as often or at all in the winter and whether you live in sunny Florida or snow-covered Colorado, you are always at risk of wreaking havoc to your skin. A round of golf or a day on the slopes can result in a painful sneaky sunburn that you just weren’t planning on sporting. I think everyone has looked like a lobster at some point in their lives. I know I’ve had some sunny-day judgment lapses—usually on vacation having fun in the pool with a strawberry margarita or two and then forgetting to reapply the SPF 50. Whoops. My skin then looks the same shade as my cocktail and I seriously regret the simple act of sunscreen reapplication!

SunBurnt works best when applied immediately after getting a sunburn and can be used by adults and children two years and older. Just simply apply the gel to the affected area and you’ll get instant, cooling relief. It’s not sticky; it dries quickly and really left my skin feeling nice and refreshed. It has a slight scent, but nothing that bothered me or my allergies as some lotions or gels can do.

This is a really great product for the price—less than $9.00 for a 6 ounce tube and I believe there is a smaller size available as well. You can buy it drugstores such as CVS, Walgreens and Duane Reed to name a few. Enjoy your summer, protect your skin, and keep some SunBurnt handy for those little burn mishaps that can happen to us all.

I am glad that there is a natural remedy like this cream to take the pain out of a sunburn and to soothe skin. I didn’t realize that it existed at CVS and I shall have to look for it next time I go there.

This sounds like a great cream to take the pain out of a sunburn. This time of year would be a great time to get this gel because I seem to always get a sunburn! I need to be more vigilant and make sure to keep applying sunscreen.
