The Root Beer Store – Root Beer of the Month Club

The Root Beer Store

*Complimentary product received for review purposes*

Today I would like to introduce you to a wonderful store called “The Root Beer Store” and it’s founder Corey Anderson who enjoyed making homemade root beer as a kid with his family. After 20 years of owning & operating a small business, Anderson had the time to try something he really “wanted” to do for a career and it wasn’t long before he decided to develop his own root beer brand, which became the genesis of James Caliber Soda Company.

Over time the selection of root beer brands grew from 30 to 60 and then over 110+ brands currently lining their shelves. In addition to root beers, you will find birch beers, ginger beers, sarsaparillas and an array of fruity & weird sodas, ice cream, desserts and in their newest location you will find hot dogs & keg rentals too!

Druthers Black Cow Root Beer

The Root Beer Store has a Root Beer of the Month Club where each month they select a gourmet root beer that they ship out to their club members. Members can order either a 6 or 12 pack (all the same brand for that month) and there are no sign-up costs, monthly dues and no cancellation fees.

Druthers Black Cow Root Beer

For the review, I was sent a complimentary 6-pack of Root Beer to try out for all of you and this 6-pack was their selection for the June root beer of the month club which costs $15.95 per month with $17.00 shipping & handling.

The brand that I received was the  Druthers Black Cow Root Beer and I love that they include a history sheet on the brand with your shipment. The Druthers Black Cow Root Beer is a popular one and this brand of root beer has been around for 15 years and comes from the Midwest.

First things first…I love that this root beer is packaged in amber colored beverage bottles as I personally do not prefer beverages packaged in cans. Next, I grew up consuming a lot of root beer just like most Arizona girls do! Matter of fact, it was my preferred beverage for about 15 years. While I don’t drink root beer every day now as an adult…I still enjoy having it a few times a month.

Delicious Root Beer Float

We had a few guests here at our home over the July 4th holiday and we decided to whip up some root beer floats with the root beer we were sent for the review. We used vanilla bean ice cream, the Druthers Black Cow Root Beer and a few of my guests also used a few squirts of whipped cream on top. The company also sent us a pack of root beer float straws and those topped off our glasses. Super cool!

All 8 of my adult guests and 2 children loved these root beer floats! The root beer had a nice smooth taste to it without being overly strong. I like my root beers mild and this is definitely on the mild side. It had a delicious and fresh taste to it…just like if it would of been made & bottled yesterday. Fabulous!

If you are a root beer lover…that Root Beer of the Month Club is definitely the way to go. If you love a particular brand…well, I bet they sell that brand too! This is one store I will definitely be shopping at in the future for all of my root beer addiction needs!
