Shopping for the Perfect Wedding Dress
Last week my daughter and I went over to her best friend’s house for a private wedding dress show. One of the bridal stores here in our area makes house calls and Jen selected 10 wedding gowns for them to bring over to her BFF’s house for her to try on.
The consultant brought over the 10 wedding dresses, several veils, hair pieces, shoes, etc. all for Jen to try on in the comfort of her BFF’s home. I thought that was a fabulous service for that store to offer and I am glad that my daughter took them up on it!
In attendance was my daughter, her BFF Sara, myself and my mother. We had a great time watching my daughter try everything on and she finally selected the perfect gown! What I love about her choice is that it isn’t “over-the-top” gaudy, it doesn’t look like a prom dress and it doesn’t look like something Cinderella would wear.
The dress has some gorgeous beading & pearl work around the waistline which you really can’t see in this photo. The skirting of the dress is made up of rows upon rows of gathered white silk. Trust me, it’s stunning in person!
Her choice is gown is very sleek, modern, sophisticated and simple…LOVE her choice! This photo doesn’t do it any justice at all…it is stunning in person! Now the dress if off to get some alterations and to get a bustle installed in the back…can’t wait to see it on her again in a few weeks.
