When it comes to movies…one of my favorite all-time movie directors and producers is Ridley Scott! (My favorite Ridley Scott movie is Blackhawk Down).
Well, we wanted to tell you all about “The East” which is coming to Blu-ray and DVD on September 17th, 2013 and here is some additional information about that. Have any of you seen “The East” yet and if so, what did you think?
Synopsis: From producer Ridley Scott and directed by Zal Batmanglij comes a taut, sexy thriller starring Brit Marling (Arbitrage), Alexander Skarsgard (TV’s “True Blood”) and Oscar® Nominee Ellen Page. Sarah Moss (Marling) is an ambitious new recruit at an elite private intelligence firm. Her first undercover assignment is to infiltrate “The East,” an elusive activist collective that terrorizes corporate leaders who commit crimes against humanity. The more involved she gets, the more Sarah’s life is in danger in this “great conspiracy thriller” (Joe Neumaier, New York Daily News).
Not only have I not seen The East, I don’t think I’ve even heard of it. That’s kind of surprising, since it’s a Ridley Scott film. That alone is enough for me to want to see it–I’ll add it to my list of movies to watch for. Thanks for this post.
I have not seen this movie, but Ridley Scott is always a sure bet to produce a thriller that will keep you engaged the entire time. I am sure my sons would love to see this when it comes out on BluRay/DVD.
This sounds pretty good. I haven’t been to the movies since the 80’s (don’t laugh!), so I wait for them to be released for home viewing, or on cable. I like thrillers – I’m going to get this. Ridley Scott is always a sure bet!
I’ve not heard of this movie before, but then I’m not much into thrillers. I’d rather watch a comedy.
I like thrillers especially when the plot is well developed and complete. Ridley Scott does a good job of keeping you enthralled in a movie. I haven’t seen the East but plan to when it come out. It sounds like a deep suspenseful movie.
