You know that feeling you get when you have been in an over chlorinated pool too long. Your feet and skin feels dry and flaky. That is what my feet feel like when they get dried out. Really tight and itchy feeling. I hate that but I know it is from too many years of flip flops! So, I am always on the lookout for products that can help curtail that dried out look and feeling and I was pleased to be able to review a product from a long standing company called Zim’s.

The Zim’s product line offers a number of skin care, beauty, pain relief, first aid and health related items. They started their business over 60 years ago with the Zim’s Crack Cream, which was developed for cement workers to help treat their dry hands, feet and skin. The product uses naturally based ingredients, arnica and aloe vera and no hard chemicals! I was sent 2 products from their line to check out, the Zim’s Crack Creme Original and Zim’s Creamy Daytime Herbal Skin Care.

When I first opened the box, I saw a tube of product and a spray bottle of product. Naturally, I thought the Crack Cream was the tube. Not so! The cream comes out of the spray bottle! I was very surprised and immediately applied it to my hands and cuticles, which always look awful. This is similar to a thick oil that comes out in a mist. Impressive. It does not spray all over the place so you can do pretty well directionally spraying it where you want to apply it. It has a refreshing herbal scent, much like mint, I would say.

After applying it, I rubbed it in and it immediately absorbed into my skin. There was a bit of oily texture to my fingers but that too absorbed very quickly and I had no issues at all. I have found that oils work so much better on my skin than other products and this did not disappoint. My hands felt soft all day and my cuticles did not dry out until very late in the day. By applying this twice a day, they should be soft and supple all day and night long.

I then used the Crack Cream on my feet; my trouble spot. Again, the oil soaked in immediately and I did not even really need to wear socks to bed, but I did just to make sure that I could get a nice long saturation. In the am, my feet looked nice and pink and did not have that dry, tight feeling to them. I really like this product!

The Zim’s Creamy Daytime Formula is the product in the tube. This has a nice light texture to it and it is just right for a daily use product for your legs, arms and even your face. The cream is nice and thick and applies beautifully. It absorbs nicely and has a lovely fresh scent too. This did a nice job on my dry legs and arms and I even used it on my face over the weekend, when I was not going anywhere. It is full of moisture and feels just great.

2 winners for me! I love the Original for my super dry spots like my feet and cuticles. The Daytime formula is perfect for your overall skin and the tube is just right to carry in your purse or tote. Because of the concentration of these products, a little does go a long way which makes them an excellent buy!
