The Passion of The Purple Plumeria by Lauren Willig Book Review

I think many of us grew up reading some sort of historical romance novels by authors like Barbara Cartland and the like. I know I read my share of them over the years and when I got the chance to read a new book based

Heart of the Country ~ The Inspirational Romance Debuts on DVD August 20th, 2013. Academy of Country Music’s New Female Vocalist of The Year – Jana Kramer – Makes Leading Role Debut!!!

Based on the novel by Rene Gutteridge and John Ward, Heart of the Country is a love story starring country music singer Jana Kramer (“One Tree Hill”), Randy Wayne (“True Blood”), and Gerald McRaney (“Major Dad”). Faith (Kramer) and Luke (Wayne) have it all. Faith is a beautiful singer and Luke is an up-and- coming businessman. When their life together is shattered and she is forced to return home to the family she turned her back on years ago she must find the strength to love again. Gears! Gears! Gears!® Motorized Spin & Glow Building Set by Learning Resources

Gears Gears Gears

** Complimentary Product Received for Review **

Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Learning Resources who makes a wide variety of educational toys and games for children. When you visit the Learning Resources web site…you can shop as a Parent or as a Teacher. Furthermore, you can shop by age group, category, by brand or by subject.

I love how user-friendly the Learning Resources site is! You will find activity sets & books, construction sets, active learning & play sets, discovery & exploration sets, electronic toys, games, puzzles, water & sand toys and a whole lot more! Everything on their site is extremely well-made and affordable.

My Review: For the review we received the new Gears! Gears! Gears! Motorized Spin & Glow Building Set to check out for all of you. We were really excited about this review because Princess Gia loves to build things and building blocks, building games and puzzles are some of her favorite things!

This particular building set is for ages 5 and up (or grades K and up) and is great for both little boys and girls. This set combines geared movement, flashing lights and the power of a motor to bring fun & learning together. The motor requires 3 AA batteries which you will need to supply, but the button-cell batteries for the flashing lights are included with the set.

With this award-winning building set, your child(ren) will be able to snap pieces together to create moving, spinning and glowing objects. Way too cool! There are additional Gears! Gears! Gears! sets that you can buy to add onto this one to really stretch their imagination when it comes to educational creative play. The set includes 115 durable plastic gears, a power motor, flashing lights, glow-in-the-dark stickers and more, all stored in a handy tub to keep things neat & organized.

As soon as it arrived we sat down with Princess Gia and played with this set for almost 3 hours one evening. The following day she came back over and again…played with this set for hours! What is really nice is that your kids can build all kinds of different things and it will indeed keep them busy!

The building pieces are perfectly sized, fun and colorful. They are very durable pieces that can handle the rough & tough life that a kid will put them through. The Princess calls them her “Carnival in a Bucket” because she likes to use them to build various “carnival” style rides (at least that is what she thinks! LOL).

This is not one of those toys where they play with it once and it’s done. Nope…I can see this building set being handed down through the generations and becoming a classic toy!

You can purchase the Learning Resources Gears Starter Building Set (60 Piece) directly from Amazon. They also have additional sets that you can buy to add onto any of the other sets. Really cool.

I love the summer weather and the wardrobe that goes along with it. It always brings a smile to my face to pull out the spaghetti-strapped tank tops, sundresses and flip flops from hibernation to make their annual debuts. I also fully enjoy shopping for
