Milton’s Craft Bakers Sweet Crackers in 5 Flavors

I have had the pleasure of tasting and reviewing some new baked snack crackers from Milton’s Craft Bakers. Here is just a little background on this company. It started in Del Mar, California in 1995 as Milton’s Restaurant and Delicatessen. They used only natural, healthy ingredients and soon had guests clamoring for their homemade breads. And Milton’s Craft Baking began. Soon they were making signature breads and snack crackers.

I was fortunate enough to try five flavors of the Milton’s Sweet Crackers – Original Multi-grain, Chocolate Multi-grain, Honey Multi-grain, Honey and Corn and Blueberry Multi-Grain. The crackers have all natural, organic ingredients, GMO free with no trans-fats and no high fructose corn syrup.

The Original Multi-grain crackers are very hearty. You could use the for just about anything. Hors d’oeuvres, salad toppers, soup or sandwich accompaniments. I will use them for a binding in my next meatloaf. I can’t wait for that. I had some family over the other day and I made cheese and luncheon meat rolls and cut them to fit the cracker. Everyone had their share and probably would have eaten more. Filling and delicious!

I have to admit the Chocolate Multi-grain crackers were my least favorite. None of us really cared much for them but I think they would be a great treat for younger children. You could also use them for a chocolate pie crust or a treat along with hot chocolate.

I used the Honey Multi-grain in the same ways I used the Original Multi-grain crackers, at lunch. The touch of honey is delightful and they are nice to snack on right out of the box too! These were a hit and everyone enjoyed the flavor.

The Honey and Corn were were great. I enjoyed these with a bowl of pinto beans like I would corn bread. It was so tasty and my guests liked it as much as if I had made a pan of corn bread. This was lovely with tomato soup as well. These would be wonderful with a vegetable dip. How easy would that be?

I have saved the Blueberry Multi-grain until last because it is my favorite. Not only mine but the majority of the people who tasted for me. I used this with a fruit salad plate. MMMMM good. I also topped the crackers with a dab of cream cheese and a piece of fruit. I like these as much as any cookie I have tasted and eat them out of the box. I have to confess I have been very stingy with these crackers. I want to save them for myself and you have to be very special for me to share them. LOL

I really like that these crackers are mostly organic, very healthy and hearty. One serving of 17 crackers of the Blueberry Multi-grain has only 120 calories. You can’t beat that.

I do hope you will visit the Milton’s web site for all of their products and even some recipes.
