My husband takes a lunch to work 3 to 4 days a week. When it comes to packing his lunch, he is very particular on what I pack and how I pack it! Hubby will not eat a squished sandwich, soggy salad or food items that got spilled & mixed together. Nope, each item in his lunch box must remain separated from the other items and be fresh when he goes to eat it.
The Bento Box Lunch Packing System is absolutely the way to go when it comes to packing lunches for work, school, play or even while out hiking or a day at the beach. The system is made up of a lunch box and several containers that fit neatly inside, all of which have secure lids!
You can get these bento boxes in a bunch of fun & exciting colors that would be perfect for males, females or select a unisex color scheme. In addition to the bento box…you can get additional containers and other lunch packing accessories too.
We received one of the Bento Lunch Boxes to review for all of you and selected the blue/lime green color scheme, so that hubby and I both can use it. The products are made right here in the U.S.A. and are easy to clean and store (just store the components inside the box in your cupboard). The containers (not the lids) are microwave-safe and dishwasher-safe which makes my life a lot easier.
Our lunch kit included the Bento Lunch Box along with 3 water-tight & leak-proof containers. Inner Container Volumes: large inner containers = 1 1/4 cup and 1 2/3 cup, medium inner containers = 3/4 cup and 2/3 cup, small dip container = 1/8 cup.
For my husband lunches…he usually takes left-overs from dinner the night before or he will take a sandwich, piece of fruit and a side salad. On the day that I took the photos for this post…he took left-over meatloaf, corn, potato salad, cantaloupe and in the little dip container he had gravy to pour over his meatloaf.
One of the things I love about this system is that I can control his portions which is a good thing since he is dieting. In addition, I love how all of the containers fit snuggly into the bento box and nothing gets spilled, squished or spoiled. He simply slips the Bento Box into our insulated lunch tote with an ice pack & out the door he goes. Once at work he puts it into the refrigerator & uses the microwave when needed. Once done, it fits all back together for him to tote back home & then into the dishwasher it goes. Fabulous!
