Golden Blossom Honey – A Delicious Treat for Honey Lovers

Golden Blossom Honey

** Complimentary Product Received for Review **

Golden Blossom Honey’s classic blend was introduced in 1932 and remains unchanged to this day. In recipes or as a condiment, its unique flavor shines.

Ah, honey. Sometimes I think you truly are the nectar of the gods. There was a time I’d have three or more bottles or jars on hand – clover, orange blossom, and wildflower. Mixing it up in drinks and recipes made a difference in flavor and style. What? I’m the only one who did that? No way. I liked having that variety on hand and so did whoever enjoyed the meals and snacks I made with honey. My honey habit all but disappeared when I went plant-based. I use agave nectar most of the time, but every once in a while I pick up a jar of local honey. I was about to pick up some when Golden Blossom Honey came to my door. I’m glad it did.

Did you know Golden Blossom Honey has been around since 1932? That’s some staying power! It’s100% sourced from US beekeepers and made between May and August each year. It’s also certified Kosher by the Orthodox Union. The history of the brand fascinates me and so does the flavor.

The honey’s light and unique flavor comes from a blend of extra-white clover, sage buckwheat, and orange blossom flowers. The flavor enhances black and herbal teas equally. I’m not the only one in the house to enjoy it. Family members had it with toast, oatmeal, yogurt, and with cornbread. It was the best honey butter we’ve had in a while according to Teen Boy. I also used it in a coffeecake that disappeared before I could get a picture…or a slice.

Golden Blossom Honey is available in 8, 12, 16, 24, 36, and 40 oz. sizes. If organic honey is what you seek, try Organic White Forest Honey from Brazil. Pick up either variety from grocers all over the northeastern US and in Florida. It’s also available by the case online.

One of my favorite quick lunches is plain yogurt with honey and Grape-Nuts stirred in. Refreshing, healthful, and not too heavy. I’ve never tried it in oatmeal, though; thanks for the idea. I always have honey in my pantry!

I love trying different varieties of honey – I didn’t realize they had Organic White Forest Honey from Brazil! Sounds yummy!

I have used some different brands of honey, but right now Golden Blossom is in my closet and remains one of my favorites. Sometimes I enjoy adding it to my hot tea or in a coffee cake. I should add it more often to my oatmeal, but I often just mix a flavored oatmeal with regular and don’t need extra sweetener.

Honey *is* the nectar of the gods. Agave is nice, but honey is better for many things. This looks like a good brand.

Honestly, I knew here were different varieties but didn’t realize there was a big difference in taste. I like pure honey best and will have to give this a try. I have a couple bottles on hand and will have to compare them. I hadn’t used honey in yogurt or oatmeal…never thought about it but it does sound interesting.
