Best Gifts for Men on Father’s Day

Every year when Father’s Day comes around, people start to panic because they do not know what to get their dads. They want something that their fathers will like, but they often resort to clichés such as ties or coffee mugs with World’s Best Dad on the front. The truth is that it is not that hard to buy a good gift for a dad. They tend to have pretty similar tastes so we are here to help with a few ideas that are sure to be appreciated by most dads on Father’s Day.

1. Pair of slippers
It might sound weird, but most dads will have their special pair of slippers that they like to get into first thing they get from work. Maybe now would be a good time to get them a new pair. Or, if they are overtly attached to their current slippers, try a pair of sandals. This can be something that they wear around the house and when they are going out. It is a multipurpose shoe that is sure to be appreciated by the practical father. If your dad has ever complained about foot pain, then make sure to get him a pair of Orthaheel sandals. These are special orthopedic shoes that still look stylish, yet manage to relieve foot pain.

2. Power tools
All dads like power tools. It is a rule of nature. Even if your father is not particularly handy, that new set of power tools that you give him will be exactly the extra push he needed in order to start fixing things around the house. Just make sure he does not hurt himself.

3. Barbecue set
When it comes to cooking in the kitchen, then mom reigns supreme. However, when it is time to cook a barbecue outside, then that is dad’s domain. There is something primal about making fire and cooking meat on it that just appeals to every father. If your dad does not have a barbecue, maybe now it is time to get him one. If he has one, you can get him a new fancy grilling set with shiny utensils or even just a grilling cookbook. Either way, you cannot lose.

4. Toolset
If your dad already has the power tools, then another good alternative would be an old-fashioned toolset: hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers etc. Even if he has one, get him a bigger one and he is sure to appreciate it. When it comes to toolsets, the number of pieces is what makes them good or bad. Nowadays you can find toolsets with over 150 pieces in them, so it should not be too hard to find something better than the one he already has.

As you can see, shopping for Father’s Day is not as hard as you previously thought. These are just a few simple ideas that should keep you covered for a few years. If you want to start with the shoes, visit Sole Provisions and you will find a wide array of different types of footwear, including ones your dad is guaranteed to like.

Another great gift for Father’s day is a razor! My Dad goes through razors like water. But I like the idea of getting my Dad next year a pair of slippers. He does not use tools at all!

I do like your list of suggestions. My only problem is that you should have given us this list before Father’s Day, but we can always use it for his birthday or Christmas
