Tetley Iced Tea Blend Tea Bags – My Favorite for Making Iced Tea

Tetley Iced Tea Blend Tea Bags

** Complimentary Samples Received for Review **

Our sponsor today is the great company known as Tetley who makes fine tea products. The company asked me to share some information with all of you and to review their Tetley Iced Tea Blend Tea Bags.

As we enter June and National Iced Tea Month, I wanted to share the results of a survey conducted by Tetley Tea on the country’s iced tea-drinking habits, which I thought was pretty interesting, since I live in PA and we love our iced tea!

Tetley’s National Iced Tea Month survey found some fun facts about the who, when, where and what of the popular summer drink such as:

– 63.7% say the best iced or sweet tea comes from the southern region of the country
– Pennsylvania had the highest number of iced tea drinkers
– Brunettes made up 52% of the survey’s iced tea lovers
– More than half have developed their own iced tea recipe rather than using one from a family member, magazine or website
– Though the margin was close, Democrats were bigger iced tea drinkers than Republicans

Tetley Iced Tea Blend Tea BagsMy Review: The company sent me a box of their Tetley Iced Tea Blend Tea Bags for the review. This box contains 24 premium black tea bags with distinct color, clarity and taste. We are big iced tea drinkers here in my house so we were excited about this review.

I followed the directions on the package and boiled 8 cups of water. I then poured the water into my beverage pitcher over the top of the 2 Iced Tea Bags. I left it steep for 5 minutes (we like strong flavored tea) and then removed the bags. I stirred in 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar and squeezed in about 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice. I then added ice cubes and put the pitcher into my refrigerator to chill. A few hours later I poured each member in our household a big glass of iced tea to enjoy with our family dinner.

The first thing I want to say is this…I had NO loose tea floating around in my pitcher or our drinking glasses. I really dislike it when loose tea leaves seep out and we had none of that! Our iced tea had a wonderful smooth tea taste with nothing bitter about it! I loved that I only needed to use 2 tea bags to make a 2 quart pitcher of iced tea! My family loved it and I will be purchasing more of the Tetley Iced Tea Blend! Yeah!!!

Pennsylvania…the highest number of tea drinkers! I wouldn’t have thought that. Very interesting! I love iced tea, and I’m picky about mine. I don’t want it sweetened or flavored except with lemon. Summer, winter – all year long I drink it. I love Luzianne but will have to try Tetley.

I drink iced tea all year, since my grandma always made it for us as a child (from scratch). I also always add lemon juice to it. I didn’t know that Pennsylvania was such a high tea drinking state. I haven’t tried Tetley for my iced tea, but I shall look into it.

Iced tea is a big summer beverage at my house. I make sun tea and use fresh mint from my garden.
