Seven Sins Lust Pre-Styling Hair Lotion

Through the years, I’ve had varying styles of hair—in the 70s, I had what was known as the “Dorothy Hamill” cut (one word: traumatic), in the 80s, I was very much into a Farrah Fawcett feathered look, which then morphed into the “Aqua-Net big hair” of the late 80s. Dee Snyder from Twisted Sister and I probably used a very similar styling technique (perm, gel, hairspray and more hairspray). In the 90s, I grew out my bangs and tried to tame the big hair a bit and since that phase, I’ve been sporting a sleeker, straighter look, but always with some volume. I’m still a “big hair” girl at heart.
I’ve tried the full spectrum of products over the years and have found products that worked well and others that were over-priced and not coif-worthy. I was really looking forward to trying a new product out on my tresses and have been using the Seven Sins© Lust pre-styling lotion for several weeks now.

The full-line of Seven Sins© products was the brainchild and creation of Master Stylist/Colorist, John Michael Zucco. It all started when he found himself referring his clients to different brands that needed to be used together in order to achieve specific “looks.” John came up with a different solution—a simpler solution—which is the top-of-the-line Seven Sins products. These products are easily used in sequence to achieve a series of specific, desired looks. You no longer have to cross high-quality brands to get the hair style you want. Each of the hair products in the line are marked by their “sin” symbol, which is then followed with a “virtue”, for example the product I tried has a sin of unmanageable, dull, out of control hair. The virtue? Smooth, controlled, shiny hair.

What makes Seven Sins different is that it’s the first high-quality hair care product that consolidates the hair care process into simple steps that are easy to understand and work into your everyday hair-styling routine. Additionally, Seven Sins products are salt-free, sulphate-free, phthalate-free, and paraben-free. They carry what the website calls “sinfully” clean record.
Seven Sins Lust Pre-Styling Lotion
I have really enjoyed using the Seven Sins Lust Pre-Styling Lotion on my sometimes unruly hair. I’ve definitely had a few bad hair days here and there, and I’m not a hat person, so my options for hiding bad hair days are limited. I am a fan of this product and was impressed by how soft and smooth it made my hair. The first day I used it, my flat iron glided through my hair like it does when my stylist does it. I have a number of positive things to say, and since we’re talking about the number seven, let me count the ways….

1. The lotion made my hair soft and manageable thanks to the ProVitamin B-5 and softening agents. I like control. Control is good.
2. My hair is fine and this product did not weigh my hair down. Lightweight Silicone gives it that smooth and subtle “oomph”.
3. No frizz! My happy place.
4. My hair had great shine and a little bit of hold even before I applied any shine-spray or hairspray. Love the luster!
5. Tangle-free comb out after applying it to my wet hair. Naughty-knotty hair no-more.
6. Created by a stylist with 30 years of experience in the cosmetology industry. Enough said.
7. My favorite result—lots of compliments on my hair! Who doesn’t want to feel luscious and lustful?

Overall, this is a product that comes with a high recommendation from me. As I said earlier, I’m no stranger to product schizophrenia and tried more combinations of hair products than I can even count. I think the only number that I need to know now is seven.
