My husband and I both love leather and own many coats, jackets, vests, boots, shoes and I own a ton of leather handbags! One of the things I love about leather is it’s durability but leather needs to be properly taken care of, so that it lasts for many years to come.
I found a product online called Leather Honey Premium Leather Conditioner and was really excited to receive a complimentary bottle of the leather conditioner to try out for all of you. This product is the #1 selling leather conditioner on Amazon.com so you know it’s got to be good!
This non-toxic leather conditioning product got its start back in 1968 and was created by inventor Daniel McGowen. It can be used on all different kinds of leather products like shoes, boots, clogs, coats, jackets, vests, leather pants, biker jackets, leather furniture, purses and more!
Here is how it works (from their site): Leather Honey works by soaking into the leather’s pores, hydrating the leather and providing a water-repelling barrier that prolongs the life of the item. It also adds moisture and flexibility to help bring life back to dry, cracking leather, softening and improving the look of the leather.
Directions for Use:
* On New Leather – Using a paint brush, sponge or lint-free cloth, thinly coat surface. Allow a minimum of two hours for absorption and then wipe off the excess.
* On Used Leather – Clean surface with mild soap and warm water, allow to dry. Follow instructions above and reapply if necessary.
My Thoughts: The first thing I want to state about the product is that it has no foul odors to it at all! Next, it was really easy to apply and only took minutes for the application process. The hardest part was waiting a few hours for it to absorb and then I used an old towel to wipe off the excess.
I used this product on my husband’s leather jacket, 2 pairs of my leather clogs and one of my leather handbags. I did it all in one day and let me tell you, a little bit of this stuff will go a long way! The bottle I received for the review was an 8 fl. oz. bottle and I still have 1/2 of the bottle left (maybe a little more) and I am looking forward to treating additional leather items that we own.
I never knew that conditioning our leather goods would be such an easy process and I always imagined that a conditioner would stink…not so with this fabulous product! What a great way to keep our leather goods looking fabulous and conditioning them will help them look beautiful for a long time!
