Being healthy is the foremost thought in most peoples minds these days. With eating changes from chemical laden products back to organic and natural foods, and adding exercise and movement to our otherwise static lifestyle, the tides are changing in America! For many, getting out to exercise is not something that can be done. Thankfully the exercise DVD’s that are available now are perfect alternatives for getting the toning, sculpting and stretching that our bodies crave. I was sent 3 DVD’s to review from a well known exercise guru, Ellen Barrett.
Ellen Barrett Live is the name of new releases from the go-to-expert for women and weight loss, Pilates, Fusion fitness, pre- and post-natal exercise and inspired wellness. Ellen Barrett is well known is the weight loss circles and you may have seen her in such publications as SELF, Family Circle, Fit TV, Prevention DVD’s and many more. Ellen believes Exercise should feel Good and Fitness is Physical and Spiritual.
I was sent her 3 newest releases to review. They are:
Sleet Sculpt Express
Tone all over in just 30 (peaceful!) minutes with Ellen’s fusion fitness method. All you’ll need is a yoga mat and a light set of hand held weights.
Super Fast Body Blast
Squeeze in a thorough workout – even when life gets so darn busy – with SUPERFAST BODY BLAST, a 30 minute barefoot cardio class that yields figure-flattering results.
Fusion Floor Workout
An Innovative Sculpting Workout DVD – No Standing Necessary!
These DVDs are different from the get go. I love the approach Ellen takes. Her voice is comforting and she walks you through each move, before it is time to change positions. She explains the name of the hold and tells you what you have to do it and what to look for so that you make sure that you are working it right. She is up beat and inspires calmness and happiness with her bits of chatty conversation.
There is different levels of participation that you can do on each so that you can choose the modified version or the regular one. There is a bit of ballet blended with yoga and Pilates and other moves too. It is slow enough to follow easily but challenging enough for any level of user.
I really enjoyed these dvd’s. I think they are ones that you should look up when you need a calm, reassuring session and some great exercise moves. You can buy them on her site.
