Maple Monday with Crown Royal Summer Cocktail Recipe

Summertime is a great time to try out some new cocktails and for those of you that enjoy a Canadian whisky beverage now and then, we have a feature that we will be sharing with you for the next few Monday’s called Maple Mondays. Why the odd name? It is to celebrate the new Crown Royal Maple! I was sent some Crown Royal and supplies to create the recipes and share them with you.

I am a citrus lover so the first recipe I am sharing is called the Champion Shot. It is simple to make so I made one to try out. Here is the recipe so you can try it too!

Champion Shot Cocktail Recipe

1 oz. Crown Royal Maple
.75 oz. Orange Juice
.25 oz. Simple Syrup
Orange Slice

Simply add all ingredients into a short glass. Garnish with the orange or twist a slice to and add it to the glass. Enjoy!

The Maple whisky is an amazing flavor! It tastes just like maple syrup but not sweet of course. When it is mixed with the orange, it was rather tasty! I was surprised as I was not sure how the citrus would combine with the maple. This is a cocktail that I could enjoy. I did add some ice to sip it rather than drink it as a shot.

Last night, my daughter made mixed drinks with Maple Crown.
She took a can of diet Pepsi and added Maple Crown, Spiced Rum and Amaretto. Very good and went well with our dinner.

    A white maple java:
    maple crown
    coffee flavored liquor
splash in vanilla flavored syrup (I like Torani sugar free).

  3. The Royal tea
    1oz crown
    1/2 oz trip sec
    1/2 oz peach schnapps

Love the Maple Crown. My daughter makes many mixed drinks with it. One of my favorites is:
    Diet Pepsi
    Maple Crown
    Amaretto
Add a splash of dark rum

Another fun one is Maple Crown with a splash of banana schnapps and Torani vanilla syrup. This might even be good with ice cream.

I prefer Canadian whiskey to scotch and would definitely try one with a maple flavor. I shall be reading these Maple Monday recipes with great interest.

  6. Well you know how much this Momma loves her whiskey, especially Crown! I still haven’t tried the Maple. I can imagine it being amazing in a hard apple cider.

I always love my regular Crown with a splash of Coke 🙂

But it tops off an appletini amazingly. We call it a Washington appletini. 1 shot vodka, 1 shot apple pucker, splash of ginger ale and shake. Strain into glass and top with a shot of Crown. Make sure you eat something after that first drink before you make another!

    5 parts orange juice
    1 part reg. crown
    1 part jagermeister
1 part regular or vanilla vodka
Mix all together and drink. I call it a fifty one eleven.
