Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Educational Insights based out of Southern California. Please allow me to introduce you to Shelby, a rescue dog who is so cute she inspired a new pre-school game by Educational Insights — Shelby’s Snack Shack Game! Shelby is the office dog at Educational Insights – she even has her own Facebook page!
We recently received the brand new Shelby’s Snack Shack Game to review for all of you. This is an educational game made for ages 4+ and for 2-4 players. This game will help your kids to develop their number and counting skills and we all know how important math is!
The game includes: 1 colorful game board, 1 Shelby Squeezer, 40 dog bones, 4 dog bowls, 1 double game spinner, instructional guide and everything comes packaged in a nice storage box.
Object of the Game: Shelby buried bones on the beach and needs your help collecting them. Spin the spinners to determine your play. Then use the Shelby Squeezer to put the bones in your bowl. Collect the most bones to win! (sounds simple, but be careful ~ spin a sneaky seagull and you’ll lose some bones or get sidetracked chewing a flip flop and miss your turn!
Our Thoughts: As you all know, I have a little 4 year old grand daughter who we spend a lot of time with. Our grand daughter is at our home 3-4 times every week. Princess Gia loves to play games with us, so we knew this would be the perfect game for us to review.
We read over the instructions which took about 2 minutes (if that) and set up the game to get ready to play. We each took turns spinning the spinner and filling up our doggie bowls with bones. It took us about 20 minutes to play the game and once done…my hubby was declared the winner (we left him win LOL).
Princess Gia is really great at counting and this game enhances her counting skills while making it fun. She had a great time playing the game with us and we look forward to playing it many more times when she is here! Fabulous game which is fun to play and educational too! It doesn’t get any better than that when it comes to children’s games!
