Doing laundry is one of those household chores that I do enjoy doing and I take great pride in doing it! When it comes to doing the laundry, I use a variety of products to get our clothing clean and smelling fresh!
One of the problems I have been having here at our new house is the hard water and with hard water, our whites don’t seem to be as bright as they used to be. I am not a fan of bleach and do try to avoid bleaching clothing because bleach tears down the fibers and is a harmful chemical.
The folks over at 20 Mule Team sent me a big box of their Borax Laundry Booster to try out for all of you. I have never used Borax before so I was excited to give the product a try. The 20 Mule Team Borax is a 100% natural mineral that is harvested from seasonal lakes here on Earth.
Borax is the common name for sodium tetraborate, a naturally occurring substance. Absolutely nothing is added to the product, no phosphates, no chlorine or other additive chemicals. Once Borax is removed from the ground, it is washed, dried and boxed for consumers.
When you add detergent to hard water, some of the compounds attach to calcium and magnesium granules which settle on the bottle of your washing machine, eventually going down the drain without actually cleaning your clothes. I don’t know about all of you…but I don’t like wasting laundry detergent nor my precious time when it comes to doing my family’s laundry.
20 Mule Team Borax is really easy to use! You simply add a 1/2 cup of Borax to every load of laundry that you are washing and your done! It will naturally soften the hard water which protects your laundry detergent which maximizes your detergent’s cleaning power! Yeah!
I immediately got busy using the Borax and after 2 loads of laundry….I could immediately see a difference. Our clothing and linens were clean again, static cling was dramatically reduced and well, they just smelled good again! I was one happy mamma again!
