Weight Watchers Fitness Kit: Punch! Cardio Boxing Workout

There are good things and bad things about working from home. First, you really can work in your jammies, if you choose to. Secondly, working in your jammies means that you are not out and about much at all. That’s not good. Plus I tend to roll out of bed, grab my shake and roll right into my office chair. Some days I am lucky if I get up from that chair 2 or 3 times that day. I have really ended up paying for that in terms of what that has done to my body. So not good! 🙁 Therefore, I am on a mission to get back some of the lost years, so to speak; the lost years of sitting on my bootay and this cool Weight Watchers Fitness Kit I was send to review is on the top of my list.

Each kit includes a workout DVD and all the fitness equipment needed along with a 10-week exercise tracker. I chose the Weight Watchers Fitness Kit Punch!, a cardio boxing workout with weighted gloves because I really need to focus on my upper body right now and I have heard so many good things about kickboxing so I was excited to try it out.

This kit is great because it was created to help those on a weight loss plan get moving, regardless of your fitness level. And it is not just for Weight Watchers members. I love that this fitness kit is completely self-contained so you can open the box and get started. Plus the DVDs allow you to start out at your current level and grow with the program as your fitness level improves. The instructors, Stephanie Huckabee and Sara Ivanhoe, carefully designed their programs to insure that even those at the most beginner level will be comfortable with the movements. Plus they included level options within the program so those with some experience will also be challenged.

The Punch! kit comes with ¾ pound each adjustable weighted gloves, the tracker and DVD. Huckabee’s boxing-inspired workouts are high energy but low impact so it is easy on the joints. There are three workouts ranging from 30 to 45 minutes: one for each fitness level. The gloves are comfortable and I like that there are 2 areas of velcro for the perfect fit. While ¾ of a pound does not sound like much, you can really feel the weight of the glove. These would be good for walking too, if you don’t like to walk with weights in your hands.

I felt really comfortable with these workouts. They are something that I can continue to do anytime to help get me up and out of the chair more and I love the fact that PUNCH! is designed to help you burn calories and firm your body. It’s a super-fun way to punch, squat and kick away calories and that makes me happy!
