Last week the family came over to see my new Amish handcrafted porch swing that I got and to try it out! It was a beautiful evening that night, so we decided to fire up the bbq grill and make some burgers and hot dogs too!
Princess Gia loves my new swing and I practically had to “pry” her off of it after her sitting on it and swinging for almost 2 hours! That’s right folks, Princess Gia loves to swing!
What is really nice about this swing is that 3 adults can fit on it comfortably which is really nice! In my “almost wordless Wednesday” photo you will see hubby, daughter and grand daughter…all having a great time!
Now that we got a swing, the Princess would like for us to get a slide, a sand box and an outdoor club house for her next! Geesh! I hate to inform her, she can have all of that…but at her house!
My backyard has other plans…such as a bigger garden and next year we will be putting in a swimming pool! I think once she sees that swimming pool next year, she will forget all about that sliding board and sand box!

I really like this swing and remember having one when I was a child. They are so much fun, and what a nice picture of you and your family!
This is a lovely swing. I like that the holder is painted blue to match your ashutters even though I cna’t see it in this photo. Your family members do appear to be enjoying themselves.
What a beautiful looking swing! I’d throw a couple of cushy pillows on it and with a blankie would be a nice place to cuddle on a cool summer night – wink! wink! Unfortunately, I live in a condo is the city so a swing is not in the cards for me. Oh, well.
Very nice and sturdy swing – this would be perfect for my Mother-in-Law, who likes to sit in the backyard and do her crossword puzzles. Thanks for the share.
Looks like a great swing. My question is: What is it attached to?
Hubby cemented in an old iron swing holder into the backyard which we painted blue to match our house shutters
