Scotts Liquid Gold Helps You Be Good to Your Wood

May 11, 2013 by Classystaff

I love wood in my home. To me, it makes a room feel warm and cozy. I kind of OD’d on it because I have wood floors, Cherry wood blinds, wood display cases, and a huge wood table with wood chairs. Oh and there is more wood accents, but we won’t go there. I love the feel of my living area but it is some upkeep. Even with all of this wood product, can you believe I had never tried Scott’s Liquid Gold on my furniture? Yes, crazy! So when I got the opportunity to review this product, I knew I needed to try it. I was sent a can for review.

Scott’s Liquid Gold is made for wood, but it has a lot of other uses too. Scott’s is made organic oils and work to clean and restore natural wood. It can also be used on squeaky hinges, to shine stainless and other metals, and to clean and shine vinyl. Who Knew? Well apparently moms for over 60 years have been using Scott’s Liquid Gold as their go to wood cleaner.

My table gets a beating. With the amount of use it is always under, it is no wonder. A kitchen and dining room table is the go to for homework, crafts, my temporary office, eating, and a host of other duties. It is no wonder it is beat up. So that is where I used the Liquid Gold first. It is simple to use, just spray the product on a clean, soft rag and wipe. It looked fabulous from the beginning! The left picture shows it half on the table and half not applied. These product is loaded with beautiful oils that made my table gleam with health, as seen in the right picture.

I have a few spots where something really hot got placed on the wood and it left a white ring so I allowed the oil to soak in rather than wipe off the excess. I am hoping that some of the lovely oil will help my poor table.

I love the ease of use on this. No rubbing or scrubbing, just a nice healthy glow. I have an old side table that someone stripped down but never re-stained. I am going to use this on there next because it needs some love! This is a great tool to have in you arsenal, if you are a wood lover. I know it is staying in my home!

If you like Scott’s Liquid Gold too, let me know how you use it in your home.

My family has used SLG for years, but just for wood, including floors. I did not know there were all these other uses, like shining sterling. Awesome!

I have used Scott’s Liquid Gold on wood for a long time. It does a great job. I didn’t know it comes in a spray form now. I also haven’t yet tried it on a squeaky hinge or stainless, but now that I know that it can be sed in this manner I shall try it.

I used Scotts Liquid Gold years ago when I had a lot of wood. Loved it then and it worked beautifully. I didn’t know it came in a spray now. I’ll have to go back to it and use it on my tables. Thanks for your review.

Scott’s Liquid Gold really works and I use it on my wood products all the time. I like how it makes my wood coffee table gleam. Great product for me!
