Do any of you suffer with chronic bone and joint pain that gets considerably worse during rainy weather? I do! I’ve been suffering for about 7 years now with the chronic pain. When storms move into our area the pain will go from a level 5 to a level 10 within an hour. Seriously, rainy weather really sets me off!
Last week we had a storm come in and stalled on top of us. For 3 full days we had a lot of rain pouring down from the sky. There were flooding issues in our area too. Yes, that’s how hard it was raining. Anyway, a few hours before the storm got here my body started aching and when it finally got here the pain was off the charts…BAD!
For those 3 days I could barely stand myself. Walking hurt, sitting for long periods of time hurt, laying hurt, doing anything just HURT! I did get a little bit of relief by using a heating pad. I tried to keep myself moving around but darn it…moving around is difficult when you’re having a lot of pain!
My doctor told me that weather does indeed affect bone and joint pain. She said patients can often tell a storm is coming without listening to a weather report. I guess it’s nice to know that I’m not the only one who has to deal with an increase in my bone and joint pain when it rains. Sigh. This just sucks!!!
Congratulations to the 2 winners. I hope that I too shall be a winner listed here soon.
It is raining here also, in fact it was pouring for a while. Unfortunately, the rain is supposed to continue off and on. My arthritis always acts up more in this type of weather. I use different pain relief creams, both medicated and natural. I do try to exercise to keep the muscles that support the joints stronger.
