Art by Lindy Creates Colorful Whimsical Wall Art

May 4, 2013 by Classystaff

I have always enjoyed beautiful artwork mainly because I have not a drop of artistic ability in me. I love seeing art by talented people and the creativity that comes from somewhere deep inside them. I was thrilled to be able to review a gorgeous Garden print from Art By Lindy so not only can I see beautiful artwork, I can be inspired by it at home. I absolutely love the piece I received from Art By Lindy, called “Namaste”, and already have it placed in my office.

Art By Lindy is a collection of numerous pieces of artwork made by full-time Arizona artist Lindy Gaskill (formerly Lindy Gruger Hanson). Her background in Graphic Design also allows her to be able to work with composition, mark makings, and shapes. Her collection has several scenes, mostly of nature, in an somewhat abstract form. This mainly due to her interest in nature, symbolism, and worldly spiritual energy where she takes inspiration from nature, gardens, conversation, dreams, etc. She then separates her portfolio in three sections: Colorful/Whimsical Paintings, Bird Paintings, and Peace Tree Paintings, some of which have a Southwestern flair.

Lindy’s art focuses on bright colors; her paintings, prints and note cards are so vibrant they just portray a true positive energy. Her prints and original paintings for sale can be purchased in a large variety of sizes and types. They can range from icon size 1”x1” for crafting and other uses to a size 8”x8”, 14”x8”, and more. Even though all her pieces are unique, there is also a great option for those who want a specific and personal piece: a commissions painting! This type is where you can personally contact Lindy Gaskill, and you get the choice of colors, your vision, and if you want the acrylic on wood, paper, or canvas. Now that is the way to decorate and make a space Yours!

The print that I chose is a gorgeous display of flowers, leaves and water that seem to float through air. The color on this print is just stunning. It is so crisp and bright. Each time I see it, it makes me smile. It is just a lovely bright piece of color in an otherwise dull and boring office. I am so glad I chose it, although I had a tough time deciding! The print is called Namaste, which is known to mean “I honor the Spirit in you which is also in me.” I don’t know about that, but I love this print!

With such vivid colors, these prints can lively up any room of the home or office at an affordable price. They can brighten up your day, just like how they brighten up mine! Stop by Lindy’s Etsy Shop to see her collection and maybe you will find the perfect piece of artwork that speaks to you. It also makes for a delightful, original gift idea too!
