About The Programs:
Yoga to the Rescue for Back Pain – Starting with a simple standing pose, Desiree leads you through a series of therapeutic yoga exercises that will improve your posture, ease pressure, relieve tightness, increase circulation and make you stronger and more flexible.
Yoga to the Rescue for Neck & Shoulders – This program includes a 30-minute tutorial and a 30-minute flowing sequence. Desiree breaks down each move to teach you the proper alignment and positioning. You can do the poses anywhere for instant relief, or perform the flowing sequence regularly to remain relaxed and pain-free. Includes the bonus wrist stretch.
My Thoughts: I love yoga and even though I have been practicing yoga on and off for 3 years, I do consider myself to be a beginner. As you all know, I suffer with chronic pain and just recently got back into doing yoga again. I needed some new fitness dvd’s and decided to give this 2-dvd set a try.
What I love about this sit is this…if you are a beginner, they are for you. If you are experienced in the practice of yoga…they are for you. They are for anyone! My favorite of the 2 DVD’s is the Neck & Shoulders DVD because it goes over the yoga poses one by one so that you can learn them or refresh your memory on them.
As my mother and I were working out to these dvd’s I found them to be a great workout and relaxing at the same time. Usually I feel exhausted after a workout but with these…I felt more balanced and energized.
Regarding pain relief…I only got to use the DVD’s 3 or 4 times before I just recently had my hip surgery so I can’t speak to that. I will be doing them again once my orthopedic surgery releases me for fitness activities in the near future.
